  1. I Did Not Qualify for Texas Mid Am (But I had Fun)

Quoted twice for Dude. Was fun playing with u. We are turrible
  2. Best Shot of the Week

I hit 3 great shots today. First one, with a 20 mph wind behind me I hit a 3w from 297 (287 to pin) to about 25 feet . I also 3 putted . The next shot on Nxt hole was also. 3w from 197 uphill against the wind that I also nuked to 25 feet past hole. But my best shot was. 7iron into a wind from 155. I played it back a touch to keep it down and puréd it. It hit about 5 feet in front of pin and hit stick and stopped that I tapped in for birdie... This was on a 626 yard hole so I was pretty happy
  3. What'd You Shoot Today?

    76. From 7612 yards and 25 mph winds. Pretty darn happy
  4. Should a competitor be forced to assist another competitor?

Had this 'discussion' with a few ppl via Twitter last night that were saying how Phil should be pissed etc. A.  Phil didn't have to let Rory play up B. Rory could've simply said it's too dark The restart was for 9am so it's 12 hours were talking about here and not that big a deal. Golf is a different game then all other sports (thankfully)  where u don't try to blow in a competitors ear, hit him in the nuts and poke his eyes at bottom of pile, or take a dive. You help your opponent find their ball if they need you. U may sometimes let them know a rule before it costs them, and yes you let them play with you if darkness is about to stop play Just my .02
  5. Future Cart Girl - Any Advice?

You're at a Country Club, not some Muni so you prolly won't get too many rude fwd guys.  What others have said, just be friendly and mindful of the golfers.  One thing a girl did for us yesterday which was really great and we tipped her well was we were on the green and she had filled up 4 cups of ice and put them in our carts. We didn't need anything at this time but she just told us that she did it and she'll see us in a few holes.  Really went over well
  6. +1. . In a time where stupid analogous remarks roam the internet, this one took the proverbial cake :~(
  7. What'd You Shoot Today?

Played pretty poor yesterday and today and gonna take a few days off (unless my buddy gets me on Oak Tree this weekend and then I'm drivin 2 hrs to play). Shot 80 both days we identical 39-41s. On diff courses. 3 putted 8 times in 2 days :~(
  8. My exact thoughts. Leave a note and explain u don't have $ to pay for it. They might surprise u and tell you it's ok and then again they might ask u to share cost or accept responsibility. Either way, you'll be doing the right thing. Leave a note with. Buddies ph # if ur rlly scared :-P
  9. First hole in one!!

  10. I Did Not Qualify for Texas Mid Am (But I had Fun)

For guy above u my partner shot 92. AK could shoot 70 with 1 arm on these set ups, lol. And we had 3 carts. They just state that because they don't want more than 2 per group but we had 3 in our group. They charged us $20/cart . Gl . Love the pre game routine and followed it to a "T". Looool
  11. I Did Not Qualify for Texas Mid Am (But I had Fun)

You'll love Escondido first of all.  They also have a last chance qualifier which for sure will be at Escondido the day before the Amateur starts.  I saw maybe 10 walkers and 40 riders im guessing and most people had caddies that I saw. I had a buddy ride with me just so I had someone to talk to.  The guy I played with that shot 95 had 15 relatives walking with him and this was his 1st tournament. He shot 54 on front and they all left except his father in law caddie and his father.  He was definitely shaking on the first tee and flubbed his second shot. He then missed a 2 foot putt for a smooth 7 after all was said and done. I don't think u could tell I was nervous but I most certainly was. One of my regular playing partners I talked into playing it as well and he is a 8 handicap and did it mostly for fun.  We had a get together tonight and some real good golfers were present (Anthony Kim being the best) and someone asked him what he shot. AK broke out in tears when he said 92 and everyone gave him a ton of shit for it. To add on this guy is 5 10  240 and was wearing a bright orange shirt so they said he looked like Rickie Fowler if he shot 30 shots worse and ate McDonalds for 10 yrs.  It was some good ribbing and I m glad it wasn't me. As far your wife is concerned the wife of the guy who shot 95 had an expression I'll never forget when he told her his score. I hope you qualify. Please PM me your details so I can watch and keep tabs on you in your quest
  12. I'd shoot under par but not sure how far under.
  13. Pete Dye, Overrated

Send me a PM and let's tee it up sometime. A +4 is pretty darn stout, I'll take a stroke a hole :-D
  14. Well I'm very good friends with a PGA player and a coach who teaches 3 top players so rumors abound. Who knows how much is true
  15. I Did Not Qualify for Texas Mid Am (But I had Fun)

Thanks!!!  I was definitely nervous on 1st tee but after that not too much. I was actually thinking (Don't miss the ball) on the 1st tee which is prolly not a good swing thought. I didn't play to my potential but it wasn't nerves and more hitting some dumb shots. Maybe next time I won't be scared and make a sweat thread beforehand
