Should only the bottom of the bunker be raked? As the player gets to the each of the bunker, should he/she turn the rake over to the flat side to complete the job? This would then leave the flat bottom of the bunker nicely raked, but the sloped edge still firm. I onder if raking the edge would weaken it, thus making it more prone to erosion.
Remember, my club is very small & I am from Australia

try to leave the sand on the edge if you can. Just rake even straight lines. I work at Bandon Trails golf course. We just try
and make the bunkers good nice. We use a sandpro rake
vehicle for the large waste area bunkers.

When raking near the top lip of the bunker, should you push the sand toward the lip or pull the sand away from the lip.
Thank you for your help.

Do you have any posters or diagrams detailing how to rake a bunker correctly that could be displayed in our clubhouse?
