I thought UP was a near perfect pop album.  Hooks out the yinyang.  Its one of the rare disks I own where I don't skip any songs if its playing in the background while I'm doing something else.  Denise gets on my nerves sometimes, but what can you do.

Big dose of Americana. Really the whole catalog by Son Volt is worthy of listening.
Can't slow down. Burning at four-barrel speed. A battle cry to treat this absence.
And I remember one faded summer. And I remember the curtain call. Waiting outside, watching the time fly.

Passenger has been a revelation for me this year. I can't stop listening to his music.

Passenger - Flight of the Crow

Passenger - Fairytales and Firesides

Passenger - Life's for the Living

Yeah, with a slight French accent in a few spots. I'd be curious to see what his natural singing voice sounds like. No one (apart from the King) sounds like that without trying.

One of the greatest albums of all time. The B side is fantastic.
