Your height and your putter length - Page 2

Re: Your height and your putter length

I am 6 foot even. I use a 35" I used to prefer 34" but the extra inch seems to take the pressure off my back. I stand fairly errect and a little farther away than most would consider ideal.

Re: Your height and your putter length

I'm between 5'7" and 5'8". My putter length is 33" and 2 degrees upright. My arms are hanging straight down without much bend when I putt and I stand pretty erect.

Re: Your height and your putter length

6foot, 1/2 inch

35 inch putter, 72 lie

The Seemore suits me perfectly. Just as I see Zach Johnson 2 putt the 10th hole!

Re: Your height and your putter length

5-11 (181), 35", standard Yes Tracy 2 lie

I think I slightly choke down on my grip so maybe a 34.5 might be playing length. I stand very close to ball and have short arms (69" reach). Not good for boxing but works for golf.

Re: Your height and your putter length

6'1", 33" putter. I like my arms to be extended throughout the stroke.

Ditto. I'm actually 6 feet and a half inch, but I'm six-one in shoes

I use a 35". I picked up a 33" and couldn't make it get to the ground.

Not a single 3 putt for nine holes!!!

Re: Your height and your putter length

5'8" with a 33"... it was hard to get used to, though, as I always played a 34" until last year.

Re: Your height and your putter length

I am 5'7 and I use a 34" putter. I prefer a little extra length with the putter.

Re: Your height and your putter length

5ft.9 with a 34'' Odyssey 2 ball ... feels good to me, not too much pressure on my back.

Putter Length?

I need a whole new bag of clubs, but I just sold some old video games and what not on eBay and have a little extra money, so I'm thinking of starting with a putter. I'm really in love with Odyssey, so that's most likely the brand I'll be going with. I'm thinking either the Sabertooth (which I've tried out briefly) or the White Hot #1, which I haven't had a chance to hit yet. I'm obviously going to get in and try out the #1, but has anyone else putted with it before? Did you like it? If the #1 feels as good as the Sabertooth did, I'm going to go with that just because it's cheaper.

Anyhow, on to my main question. What length putter should I get? Is there a way that this should be measured or is it all about preference?

Re: Putter Length?

Depends on how tall you are.

I'm only 5'9" so i got a 33" and it's great.
