I want to walk and enjoy the golf while at the same time walking off some extra pounds.

I think it'd be great for my game as well. I tend to get stiff sitting in golf carts and getting in and out of them has been the source of a pulled muscle or two over the years.

There are a couple of courses 30 mins form home that are great for walking and the price is much more affordable.

I need a good push cart. I'm a tall guy at 6'5" and need one that fits my stride and body positions when walking.

I'm 6'4" and have a Sun Mountain Speed Cart. It fits me fine and is adjustable to make the handle bar go a lot higher than I ever have it. It has been a great Cart, probably have used it 50 times or so. The only bad thing about is where the cup holder is located. Its right under all the club heads in your bag so the higher you adjust the handle bar the less accessable it will make your drink. Not that big of a deal though and I think its like that with all brands. You should to your local store and give them all a "test drive".

I'm 6'4" and the Bag Boy 180 does great... must admit the Clicgear one looks very nice though... it folds up so small.

my cup holder is completely accessible on my BagBoy... I can also adjust the handle a few notches higher, but don't need too. The Sun Mountains are nice, but I do have a friend who complains about the inflateable tires... he says they tend to loose air over time. Bagboy tires are foam, so you never have to worry. His does roll the slightest bit more smoothly when the tires are full though, but I would still go with the BagBoy or the Clicgear (if space is an issue, and cost is not).

I have the Sun Mtn. Speed cart and love it. I don't have any issues with my drink holder. I'm 5' 10", so I can' speak for your height issues, but it is adjustable, and I'm sure it would work as well as anything else that's out there.

Thanks for all your input guys....gonna go one day next week when I have a day off and "test drive" a few.

I wondered about the inflatable tires and if they created trouble. I can see how they would offer lower rolling resistance, though.

One thing I'm sure of...I wan't to invest in a good one. I used some sorry ones before that detered me from walking for too long.

I am a fellow push cart walker ... here's a good tip: don't get a cart with air filled tires. They are nice until they go flat ... and then they are a complete pain.

I have tried filling the tires up with "fix-a-flat" several times, and they continuously go flat.

My next cart purchase will be one with non-air tires. I believe The Sand Trap had a good article on a new push cart on the home page in the last week too.

I think Sun Mountain has fixed those issues about the tires going flat but back in the day they had some serious problems. I am 6'5 and have used a SM Speed Cart for the last couple of years without any issues. The Clicgear carts are very nice, priced about the same and both companies have great customer service.

I just picked up a Clicgear v2.0 (got a black one) with the solid tires. The tires are not hard, they are a firm type of rubber that absorbs some shock. I have used it one time and love it. It rolls very easy.

I just bought the Clicgear 2.0 as well and really like it. Haven't been out on the course yet because we keep getting freak snowstorms!!! but have had it out in the house and it seems really well put together with tons of little features. The tires are solid and roll really nicely and you can't beat how small it folds up. I highly recommend it.

We're going to be reviewing the ClicGear soon on this site as well. Alan just got his a few days ago.

Cool.

I'll most likely be getting a cart of some type the end of next week.

The review will be appreciated.

The good news is that there appear to be several great offerings to choose from: Bagboy, Sun Mountain and ClickGear. Leaps and bounds better than what I've used in the past.

I'm looking forward to comfortable walking golf. Will be getting some new shoes, too.

I bought my first cart at the end of last year. I'm 6'2'' and I did a lot of comparing and decided on the sun mountain V2. I love it! I've already used it for probably 15 rounds this year. The tires seem to be fine. I pumped them up last month and they are still full. Smooth feel and good brake. Easy to fold and unfold. Best non golf club purchase I've ever made. I've walked all but 2 rounds this year and I am loving the exercise. I also seem to play better when I have a minute to calm down after a bad shot before getting to my ball!

All fires eventually go out!

I played today at a local course. 2nd full round since my long layoff. Felt great. Irons and wedges were pleasantly accurate and smooth. No distance loss noted...even in the windy conditions.

The driver and 3-Wood were seldom used because every time I did they'd act different. My swing isn't yet stable enough to be trying to force the long sticks without some serious range time.

I rode vs. walking and carrying my bag....I hate doing carrying my bag.

The round would have been substantially cheaper to walk...looking forward to getting that cart soon.

Stopped in Bonaventure Golf Warehouse in Augusta on the way to look at a few carts. They only had one....a BagBoy model. It had the foam filled tires and I think they'd do well. It was really large framed and adjustable. They just didn't have many to compare with it.

Found a few models in a golf shop today.

The Clicgear 2.0 is starting to look like the one. I liked everything about the one I played with except the color....picky, I know....but for $200 a fella might as well get the color he wants!!! I was able to throw on a well loaded display bag full of clubs on the thing and roll it around. Wonderfully smooth. Very nice product that appears to be well built.

I didn't get to play with a SM Speed Cart but will next time in the shop.
