New driver wanted...PING shaft options???

What are the differences in the various shafts offered for the G10 drivers?

I see that there are 3 different brands(factory, Graffaloy and V2)

I'm going to get fit at a local course before I buy, but was just wondering how to catagorize the shaft options.
909D Comp 9.5* (house MATRIX OZIK XCON-6)
Burner Superfast 3 & 5 woods (house MATRIX OZIK XCON-4.8)
G15 Hybrid 23* (AWT shaft)
G5 5 iron-PW-46*, UW-50*, SW-54 & LW-58 (AWT shaft)

UST is high launch
Prolaunch is low

But really the differences are minimal

I have a TFC for my 3 wood because the head weight felt correct with it. It's my favourite club

Driver SS 93-95mph
6 iron SS 77-80mph

Driver: Burner 9.5 S

Stay away from the Gaffaloy shaft. Had it on my Ping G2 lost about 15 yards off my drives with it. High launching Grandpa shaft. Good if you want straight 150-200 yard drives.

I think you might be mistaken on this. This is the Graffalloy ProLaunch Red shaft which is for lower trajectory shots as opposed to the UST V2 HL.

I personally have my G10 driver with the Graffalloy Red and my 3 wood and hybrid have the UST. I like both shafts, both are quality and it all depends on your suits, needs, and desired shot type. I went with the Graffalloy on my driver for more roll and went with the UST for more of a controlled shot. Just my preference...

your statement above and this one contradict itself... for many people, especially senior folks (you wrote "grandpa" above), they need more help getting a higher launch. second, your swing speed comment sounds a bit derogatory to me even if you didn't mean it that way. i have a swing speed well over 90mph so please offer better advice on this forum than you have provided. you've stated the shaft properties incorrectly (you stated it was a high launch variety) and your secondary comment contradicted the first one.

Really? I believe Bubba Watson, one of the longest drivers on the PGA Tour, uses a Grafalloy Bi-Matrix shaft in his driver. Your comments are completely biased and not true. I used to have a Grafalloy Pro Launch shaft in my old driver and it was great. (Swing Speed 108) I am also about to put the Pro Launch Red in a new Ping G10 that I am getting soon.

Guy's. From prior experience you can pretty much discount 90% anything that Mustang say's.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you need to go round this forum discrediting it. Maybe that shaft will work for me, maybe not, but just because it doesn't work for you means you should tell everyone it is crap or anything.

wish people would have told me it was crap before i spent $300 on my Ping driver. I would rather here the truth than some sugar coated junk. That is what these forums are about helping others out. People feelings might get hurt but big deal. hey some people tell me Taylormade Burner Irons are for mid to high handi cappers. Do you think i care i like em. Just for futur referance.

See the thing is you are very self-centered, I can tell and have never talked to you in person or met you ever. Just because it didn't work for you doesn't mean that it is crap or that it won't work for someone else. You swing is 1000% different than mine and I can guarantee that

Well just like looking into your bag and i can say i hit the SQsumo club and thought it was crap. Launched to high for my swing speed. Might be good for you and Tiger. Not for me. So oh well done worring about what shaft is good for you and me.

For an 8 handicap you really, really seem clueless about the golf swing and golf gear. You make these blanket statements about clubs that suck that are the least thought out comments I see on this board.

I just got fitted while out in Scottsdale and picked up the G10 driver. Tried a ton of different head (Nike, Callaway, Taylor Made, Ping, etc., etc., etc.) and shaft combinations. The G10 with certain shafts, i just didn't care for, just didn't fit me, but then, boom, when he handed me one with an Accra T-50 (in an effort to get my launch angle up, and spin down) it was heaven. So please stop with the "this shaft sucks" and "this club sucks" speeches, it just makes you look the fool, diminishes your credibility (which your reputation seems to reflect by the way). What didn't work for you, it likely a perfect fit for someone else.

good for you. glad you found a driver that works for your game. Just like i could go on and on how Taylormade Superquad is the longest and best driver made. It will be in my bag for atleast another season. Taylormade is the best company out right now hands down. But thats my opinion. hey and like i said
