Since it's summer, i've been deciding to walk many rounds as opposed to riding and I wear either pair of my golf spikes (FJ Desert Trek and another random pair of FJ), my feet kill me that night, so i've been wearing a pair of new balance tennis shoes when I walk a course so that my feet don't hurt, which is fine except for when the course is soggy or wet.

Are there any suggestions on a decent pair of golf shoes that can hold up during a summer of walking courses? I've been looking at a few pair online that look like tennis shoes but with golf spikes from Adidas, such as the Powerband Sport:

and the Tech Response:

I'm leaning towards the Tech Responses due to the price. Can anyone offer up reviews of either shoe, or suggest an inexpensive ($75 and under) pair? THanks

My father in law says two things never to skimp on in life are a good bed/mattress and good shoes. Sound advice from a wise man.

Don't skimp on your shoes. Get something good, and you will be happy you did, especially with the problems you describe.

My wife bought me some Ecco's a couple of months ago. They are easily the most comfortable (and most expensive) pair of golf shoes I've ever owned. I think I could walk 36 in them, and I'd have a lot of other body parts hurting before my feet.

This question is an easy one......Ecco. The most comfortable golf shoe you can purchase. Their dress shoes are also excellent and last forever.

You get what you pay for.

if you are looking for inexpensive, you may want to look at the Footjoy E-comfort series of shoes. They are definitely comfortable, but not like Ecco.

I can attest to the FJ e-comfort, they are the best walking shoe i have yet worn. I own two pairs of them. I have a pair of dry joys too, but are not as comfortable even though they are nearly 100 dollars more expensive.

I just bought some comfortable FootJoys and they are comfortable walking a full 18. My previous shoes were some basic Top-Flite brand sneaker-like golf shoes and it held up for a couple years, just added some gel pads for extra cushioning.

I bought a pair of Responses and I'm more than happy with them, specially because your feet NEVER get hot which is the best thing I can expect from a pair of golf shoes....
