I recently got a new set of irons and custom fit them to +1/4". My question is, should i also lengthen my wedges? i currently carry three: 52º Cleveland RTG+DSG, 56º RTG+DSG, 60º Reg588. all are at the standard factory length now. what do you recommend?

I dont see how a quarter inch could hurt. You normally dont swing a wedge hard enough for it to effect the playing characteristics of the clubhead. It might alter the swingweight a tad, but again i cant imagine how it would be a problem with the wedges.

+1/4" isn't gonna matter that much.......I have mine extended 1" cause I'm 6'2" and found them to be fine. They did go up in swingweight with the added inch, and they go farther now (a side effect, not intentional). I don't think 1/4" is going to make that much difference. If you measure them against you wedge in your set, they are prob 1/4" shorter, which is no big deal, the irons in the rest of your set gradually decrease in length from the 3I to the PW anyways....I think you will be fine.

I'm 6'1" and only went with +1/4". must have longer arms than you

well thanks for the insight guys...i will compare to my cobra wedge and see what the length looks like.

Yeah same boat - i've +1/4 irons, went to get new wedges and Pro said that because i've always played standard length wedges, there's not real difference in getting +1/4. Anything more that +1/4 and you might want to get the wedges fitted. I didn't see the point - would have to wait a little longer to get them too.
