This is kind of an unusual product tip, but I've found this product to work wonders. Have you ever noticed that when you buy a new club, sometimes the companies tend to "bulletproof" the club and shaft with stickers?? This is true with new and used stuff. Sometimes the used stuff is the worst, because the stickers have been on there for a long time. When you finally get the stickers off, the junk left behind is a pain.
Well I bought a bottle of Goo Gone from Home Depot a while back, and the stuff is awesome for that. Actually it's great for lots of cleaning, but it works wonders for this. One or two swipes with a rag, and you're done.
Just an FYI for any of you that have spent lots of time getting all of that crap off of your new club(s). I'm sure you can get it lots of places, but H Depot has it for sure if anybody's interested. It's called Goo Gone, and it's saved me at least an hour of time in the past 6 months.

LOL! I just got a new SQ 3W and it was full of stickers. I picked at it for an hour getting it all off.

Hair dryer takes them off in 2 secs

The local Golfsmith uses the same method but they use a small paint remover hot air gun. They take the stickers off for you... after you pay of course.

Goo Gone is really some amazing stuff, i never thought about using it on my clubs before though. Great tip

Goo Gone should be available at most big and small hardware stores, as well as Wal Mart and similar.

I like Goo Gone. I just use it over the sink, and I prefer to squirt it onto the rag first, rather than directly onto the club (it just runs then). Plus one bottle lasts forever, and it smells good.

Goo Gone works wonders. It isnt messy if you pour it onto a rag and then buff off the goo.
When I bought my putter from Ebay, it had a sticker on the shaft with some ID number on it. When I peeled the sticker off, there was some glue left on the shaft. I simply poured some Goo Gone on a rag and after about 10 seconds of buffing the shaft, the glue was gone.

If you regrip your own clubs as I do, grip tape solvent works as well as anything I've found. Just dash a little on to a rag and wipe the gum off in just a few swipes. Plus I always have it around handy.

Goo Gone is terrific! I always use it for this sort of thing, but it is also very good to remove grease. My wife had some butter soak through a bag of popcorn onto her jeans and we couldn't get it out with anything we tried - Dawn, laundry detergent, etc. As a last ditch effort, I soaked the greasy spots with Goo Gone for about a half hour and then washed the jeans to remove the Goo Gone. Worked like a charm. We've also used it to clean all kinds of greasy spills off of our white couch with very good results. Just have to be sure to get all the Goo Gone off or it can leave a ring. Like iacas said, it lasts forever. I think we have the same bottle we first bought 3 years ago and I know I use it at least once a month. I can smell the orangey aroma now...

      I was laid off two months ago. Good severance, a 90 day layoff announcement regulation the company wanted to avoid so technically I'm still on the payroll for a few weeks, and a bunch of banked PTO, so I'm in a great spot and working on a startup idea I've been batting around with my brother for a while. That means I've got time to get to the gym! I'm at like 60-75 minutes 5x a week of strength training, and either a run or a bunch of time playing soccer or tennis with my daughter on the weekends. Stronger than I've been in forever. Up ~5 pounds of (noticeable!) muscle!

      A bit of background. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) runs an annual event known as "Team Play." It is a wildly popular match play competition where Men's Clubs across the region put together teams of 20+ golfers together to compete against other clubs in a 16 vs. 16 match. In any given year, approximately 80-100 clubs will participate. Each club is grouped into "pods" of 4, and will play 6 total matches - one home and one away match against the other 3 clubs. The winning club from each pod advances to the Team Play Playoffs - a single elimination format - until a winner is crowned.  Antelope Valley Country Club just advanced to the championship match for the 3rd consecutive year. They won the championship in both 2022 and 2023.  Based on my review of the match history from the past 3 years (linked below), they have won 21 consecutive team matches. Keep in mind, these are handicapped matches, so this is not just a case where a group of sticks bands together to dominate the poor amateurs other SoCal clubs. Even if these guys are grinders who never quit, play their best under pressure and routinely putt the lights out, the law of averages still say that a streak of that nature is mathematically impossible.  Is there any plausible explanation beyond institutionalized sandbagging throughout the club?
