After trying my frineds mizuno blade irons i have absoulotly been hooked on blades. towards the end of the season or the begining of next season i am looking to get some blades, i was wondering what iron i should get. i have had the oppertunity to try the callaway x forged the r7 tps, and the nike forged blades (the type of iron tiger uses) so far my favorite iron has been the nike forged blades or the callaways can anyone tell me what iron i shoould bee demoing next. I do not mind if it is an iron form a couple seasons ago as long as it is a good product.

mp 67 - the sexiest mizuno club out there hands down... unless you can get a brand new set of mp 32's.. those are pretty awesome too.

This is really no offense at all to you but you might be better of with a half cavity half blade iron. Seeing from your bag and your handicap. You are using mega game improvment irons right now, and you want to jump into blades?

They are a whole different level. I have Mizuno MP-30's, and while they are more blade than cavity they still offer more forgivness than a blade. Now I could be wrong, and your ball-striking could be excellent and your putting not so good. But blades are more for players within the 0-10 handicap range. And even at 10 you are pushing it by going to a full blade.

I reccomend trying out these Irons:
Taylormade R7 TP's
Cleavland CG Red's
Mizuno MP-57's
Taylormade Tour Burner
Cleavland CG 4 Tour's
Titleist AP1's or AP2's
Callaway X-20 Tour's
Nike CCi Forged Iron's
Adam's Idea Pro with 2-3 hybrid
Bridgestone J36's
Thats all I can think of.

I'm just saying that blades are another level, and that there are many transition clubs into true blades. And that before you make the leap to blades, cosider all the options.

Alot of Higher handicaps use blades. Like people say, its a club that can be grown into as your handicap drops, and it teaches you to be a better ballstriker, maybe that is what he is aiming for. Of course he may have some trouble at first, but he can grow into them.

I agree. when I bought my mp-60's last year...the sales dude told me this exact quote

"it's your 1st year & you want to try blades? you can't and shouldn't be hitting a blade yet. you're years away from that." he even went against my blind test when I picked out the mp-60's and said i should hit a full cavity back club. now 11 months later, i'm kind of upset i didn't go with the 67's..even though I felt that I hit them as solid as the 60's when I was trying them out. it'll take a few rounds to get used to the new club....but you'll get used to it. but hey, if you want the mp 60's..u can have mine..just order me the 67's wtih PX 5.5 and we'll trade & I'll throw you 2 bills.

I demo'd J36's the other day…….the combo set will be in my bag soon. A fantastic, underrated product in my opinion.
I also hit the Srixon I-701 Tour irons and was thoroughly impressed.

Try the Cleveland CG1 black pearls. A little older model, but I love 'em. My handicap shot up from a 9 to a 15 -16 right away, lol, but its been stedily dropping back down, and I think I'll be a better player in the end.

good luck

I have the MP 32's and love them. I probably should have tried the 67's, but I am happy. If I had to do it again, I have not idea what I would buy. I just like them and they feel awesome.

Mizuno mp33 irons are true blades. You can pick up a set for under $250-$400 depending on the condition.

Well, if you really like those Mizuno blades you've tried, why not look for Mizuno's instead of Nike, Callaway, or Taylormade? I've hit mizuno blades before, and the feel combined with the control they gave me was great. I suggest getting fitted for Mizuno blades, IF you really think that's what's best for your game right now...

i played titleist tour model blades for years ... i went to a game improvement iron, the tommy armour 845's.. I played a few sets inbetween settling on the 845's .. I tried titleist DCI, ping ISI .. and settled on the 845's .. I played them for 10 years up until my recent purchase a few weeks ago. I tried the Mizzy's, 57's and 67's, Titleist AP1, AP2, Taylor Made R7 TP and Tour Burner, and the Callaway x20 forged ..

i settled on the Taylor Made tour burner .. I like 'em .. wish they had a thinner top line but other than that they are fine clubs.

You've got to play ALOT to be able to play blades consistently .. I'm talkin 3, 4, 5 times a week. When I stopped doing that after college was when I switched ..

my mishits with the tour burners are still incredibly straight and long, which unfortunately happens one out of every 3 or 4 shots .. and usually the mishits will still land on the green although 20 - 30 feet short ..

What kind of blade are you looking for? With today's technology, you can find blades that are a little bigger than normal and not a muscle back.

If you are looking for a really forgiving blade with workability, take a look at Nickent Arc Blades.

You do know that such stuff will be called the "Fall 2008" stuff, right? It's not like cars.
