I'd like to take the time to talk about the round I had today, although it wasn't the best, it was the most indescribable, amazing, most memorable round I can possibly have.

Today, me and Lange hit up our local course, not knowing about the wind, decided to play from the tips at 6801 Yards (72.6/125). The wind was blowing about 35+ MPH with us for the first few holes, so all went well. We were playing casual Bogey, Par golf, both of us doing decent considering the huge yardage change.

The Last few front nine holes got tough, wind against us from the Gold Tees made it literally impossible to reach in two. (Must have hit my 4 iron around 130 yards on a tee shot) Glad to finish 9, Lange finished with a 45 and I hit a 43.

I'm really dragging on the story here, but do not beleive if you must: Me and Lange each hit 2 drives over 300 yards with wind at our back. My top measuring at 372 on hard fairways with a ball that just wouldnt stop. And him hitting 333 with the best drive of his life.

Anyways, the wind came back, and we were hitting 3 woods on 170 yard par 3's. Lange and I started getting doubles, and i started shanking my wedge. (All hope was lost)

Then something happened: On the 16th hole I said to Lange "Screw it, lets count our scorecards right now, and see what we need to get to get a good score" We both proudly announced that I needed Par Out to get 83 and he had a good chance at getting his best score.

Here it came: We fed off of each other, excellent shot after excellent shot, We were on fire. Lange finished off Par,Par,Par and a birdie opportunity on 18 to get his personal course low: 86. (Unfortunately he missed) I finished off Bogey (15), Birdie, Bogey, Birdie, With an Eagle chance from 7 feet on 18. I finished with a satisfying 82.

Pointless story to show what I'm getting at, but I just like to say how great it was that we just almost fed off eachother. We both played excellent and it rubbed off. It feels great to finish strong and it has been one of the best finishes I have had.

This was just kind of our miracle story because we were still in disbelief after we finished.

Our greatest accomplishment ever, From the back tees, huge wind.

Just though I'd share that with you all.

That's pretty impressive. Scratch that, that's VERY impressive. I've played from the championship tees once before and I hit a 49 (Only played 9 holes). The course wasn't that hard, and there was like no wind.

Nice mate, I always play from the back tees in my course. Playing into the wind it's impossible.

It can be tough judging the wind for sure...but that sounds like it was fun.

With your handicap, to be honest, you should always be playing the tips...especially with the course being only 6800 yards...that's really not THAT long where you should not be able to handle it...but with the wind, I can understand it makes it difficult.

Good round, Dent. I told you to believe in yourself.

Ha thanks, Ya i guess its not long compared to some courses out there, but with wind it was beast. To be honest I really didn't play that stunning either. I still had 2 or 3 doubles. Putting just was a save. I think I shall start playing from the back now, Unless the middle tees are 7000 yards or more.

And to think you were talking not all that long ago about giving up golf. Just think about what you would have missed out on.
Keep it up and just believe in yourself.

Great finish Dent! That's how you close out a round. I had a pretty good day myself. Well let me rephrase that, I had one good hole today haha

I holed out from 170yds out on a par 4. I didn't even realize it until I got to the green and was looking for my ball for about 2 minutes, then I looked in the cup and walla! Good day for both of us!

Nice round Dent. What's most impressive is navigating that wind. Playing in doncidtions like that will make you a better golfer.

As far as what tees you want to play from, as a 7.7 index you are probably nearing a point where you can play from whatever tees you like.

Thanks everyone. your all right its great to fight those conditions and still shoot well. I also had some problems of my own that day and I could of shot lower:

4 GIR's
2 Fairways.

talk about low numbers. My approach was just awful, couldnt hit a single green.
