Just sold my putter today. So at the moment I am putterless.
Tested out some putters at the local golf shop. Odyssey Sabertooth, Yes! C-groove with no weight adjusting, and the finally the Odyssey Black Series.

Has anyone tried the new milled style putters from Odyssey? Also, what are your opinions on the other two? Of course when it comes down to it, it will depend on me but for now just wanting to hear the ups and downs of these three.

My suggestion would be to look at the Scotty Cameron line of putters. If you are willing to pay for the Odyssey Black series, which around here (Ohio) retail is around $250, i think for only $50 more you could get the new studio stainless in whatever model you like. Or for the same price you can pick up the Circa model from Cameron.

What I play:
Titleist 905R 7.5* w/ Graphite Design YS-6+
Titleist 906F2 15* w/ Aldilla NVS 75s
Titleist 690mb (2-pw) w/ Dynamic Gold S300
Titleist Vokey spin milled 54* 60* wedges Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 Heavy Titleist ProV1x ball

I thought it was the Black Series because it was an Odyssey putter with the milled face. The price on it was around $150 and the other two are around the same price range. Can't really spend $300 on a putter.

IF you are looking for milled putters, you should look at the Ping Redwood or something by TP Mills.

On the Scotty Cameron note, just tried last year's Newport and wow did it feel good. Even though I only tried it on an artificial putting surface. Can't wait to test it out at Bethpage on Thursday.

There are two lines of Odyssey Black putters. There is the regular Black Series which has a milled face and no insert. Then there is the Black Series i which has an insert. Both lines of putters are made of carbon steel and have Tungsten weights on the back of the putter to get the weight low and away for a higher MOI.

At the Edwin Watts here the Odyssey Black putters are $279, so for $20 more I went with the Scotty.

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
