Has anybody ever used one of these. I did it to my cousin on Friday. It was the fifth hole par 4. He teed it up and the swing just chipped it. It luckily didn't break. He teed up again and swung and made good contact with it and a huge cloud of white powder surrounded him. He said " Did you see how hard I hit it!" I started laughing and told him what it was. Anybody else ever do this?

When I first started playing golf back in '00, I went and played with my brother and a friend of his.
During the round he was like, "Hey, I think this is your ball" and when I hit it, "poof". Yeah, they all laughed but I didnt think it was all that funny. I tried to be a good sport about it though...

Not that I'm opposed to the idea . . .

thats a great point.

thats why (as i said in my earlier post) i used it on myself to shock my playing partners but it doesn't look like a legit ball.

Yeah one of my friends did that to me like three years ago, scared the crap out of me haha

Things I Am Good at in Golf

- Hitting it in the drink
- Finding the rough with my drive
- Staying in the bunker- Hitting grassburners all the way to the hole- Three putting- Posting over par on 18 in only 9 holes- Swinging and missing with an iron

there's another one .. a concvex instead of concave tee .. so you can never get the ball on the tee.

i had gotten a bag of them as a gag gift for my birthday a few years ago .. I switched bags about a month ago and they were in there.

I had almost run out of tees on one 9 and grabbed one ..

put it in the ground and wondering why the hell it wouldn't work.

pulled the prank on myself!

haha.

    • We do not buy extended warranties. We will use one of our credit cards for the purchase that extends the warranty "x 2". Our thoughts are: a. if the item is a lemon, it will likely break right away and we can attempt to apply the original warranty or credit card extension. b. over the long haul, we will probably save more money by not purchasing the extended warranty and fixing/junking broken items out of our own pocket. The important thing is to keep some records of purchases so one may make a claim under the manufacturer's warranty. I recently sent back some Footjoy shoes for leaking and Footjoy did a reat job of making the claim process work very well. I had the original receipt, warrant info and box. Easy peasy.

    • This is pretty much how I look at it.  I understand there are times when the piece of mind has value. I think over the long haul I'm money ahead by never buying the extended warrantee. Hell, What do I know? I went to Ch!cago PubIic SchooIs.
