Okay I fixed my swing so I don't go back as far and it is alot more controlled. I actually gained distance and I now average about 275 yards. I only missed one fairway today with my driver and shot my all time best of 82. Thanks for everybodies help on my last video. If my link doesn't work you can go to

I don't really have a valid opinion because I'm not very good, but it seems like you're hands end up way too high. It looks like they end up above your head at the top of your backswing! I think you would be much better off with them about shoulder height at the top of, maybe mid bicep. That's just me, though.

That's not a bad swing. Good position at the top, but your move down could come a little inside. You are coming a bit over the top and that could cause some problems.

well thanks for the comments. The over the top i think is more because of the camera angle. I'm pretty happy with this swing cause today I pounded them all down the middle(almost all and the others were only in the rough on the side not out)

you start the club out very far to the outside. Try to take the club straight back, or err slightly to the inside, but only slightly, and it should help the over the top.

Looks good. Do you normally hit a fade? Seems like you came over the top on that takeaway.

Swing length has nothing to do with accuracy. Accuracy is usually controlled by backswing plane, spine angle and then the hips. And if your swing plane is off or your hips don't properly rotate on the downswing, then you'll need to use timing and manipulate the clubface with your hands to square the clubface.

Sam Snead was one of the greatest ballstrikers of all time. He hit the ball long and accurately and his swing in his prime was quite long:

And here's a video of Hogan's swing when he was past his prime. It's still a bit past parallel, yet nobody would ever claim Hogan was inaccurate.

The reason why you have had problems with accuracy is in large part due to your swing plane. Your backswing is very, very upright and in general you have a steep swing. This should result in slices, fat shots, pop ups, etc. The one thing I get concerned with golfers looking to shortening their swing is that they are usually fixing something that's not the real issue. Your swing is a little peculiar because usually long swings are due to the golfer taking the club too far to the inside. But you are far too much to the outside and still have had a long swing. I also don't like players shortening their swing because they usually wind up losing their flexibility and stop rotating.

Anyway, it's going to be hard to convince you since you've had some short term success, but I believe that you will start struggling again because you haven't really resolved the problem. But, best of luck and I hope you prove me wrong.

Looks like you hit a solid tee ball.

That one seemed to be well spanked.

i rarely hit a fade. my main problem now is making sure i'm squared up to the fairway. the ball goes straight but sometimes i line up facing one direction and the ball ends up over there.
