Can someone tell me what the point of this article is? Seriously? Cuz if you read it, I think you'll agree it makes almost no real sense.

Well I am just plain anti-cell phone. I can't stand them or the people that don't know how to use them in public. Some people talk so loud I think the party on the other end could hear them without the phone. They have made rude people ruder. We survived thousands of years without them now some people can't survive a minute.

But let me step down off of my soap box and say that the article kept me entertained for a couple of minutes, but that is about it. I didn't realize cell phones were a problem on the tour.

I went to last year's Buick Open and noticed that all the players seemed to be on their phones on the range and the practice green. Then again, it was a practice day, but I was enough for me to make note of it.

We survived without electricity for nearly as long, too. Doesn't mean we should do away with electricity.

That's the thing: it doesn't actually seem to be a problem. PGA Tour players can only use them in very few locations. I've been to events and I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen a player on a cell phone.

I am sick and tired of cell phone bashers. Just because they are bitter and noone calls them does not mean the rest of the world should have to follow suit. So where can you use your cell phone then. At the FBR I saw one player on a cell phone and I caught part of his conversation and it was business related. Just because some ass thinks cell phones look bad I guess PGA players should lose their right to conduct business and call their families. These guys work for a living too. They spend long hours at the course and even days away from home yet the should have to hide away like a freak from the public in order to check in on the kids or clear something up with their agent? Get real! I carry my cell on the course. It is on vibrate but it gives me the peace of mind that if my children need me they can call me. If there is an emergency I will be made aware. Just because thats "not the way it used to be" doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. If thats the case the maybe doctors should go back to leaches and poultices to cure illness.
