Today, i had my swing taped in slow motion. I almost cried since my guy put tiger's swing up right next to mine. 4 huge things i was doing wrong.

1. At takeaway, my face was shut and remained that way to the top
2. I was going past parallel
3. right heel was coming off the ground well before striking the ball
4. Swinging more with my arms/hands than turning my shoulder

pls help. I though I was a pretty good player until seeing my swing today.

No offense, but with that handicap, it seems like at your skill level you shouldn't be making those mistakes or having those problems.

Maybe post a swing so we can help you further.

I would sure like to see that video. Post it up on Swing Academy. To have that many basic faults, you must have some really good compensating moves to hit the ball that well.

Yes, everyone's heel comes off the ground eventually and sure there is a variance as to when it should come off the ground. Many say that it should still be either on the ground or just lifting at impact. If it comes off the ground and you don't have your hips fully open that could be an indication of something amiss in your swing. It's about the timing of the heel coming off the ground.

Handicap/level of play does not necessarily correlate with the technical perfection of the swing, having a perfect swing does not make you a good player. I do agree we need a video so that we can give our own analysis.
