Hey,

I was wondering how one would go about starting a pro career. Sponsors? traveling expenses? etc...

maybe someone can share their story about how they started their career?

Driver:  Titleist 915D2.  4-wood:  Titleist 917F2.  Titleist TS2 19 degree hybrid.  Another hybrid in here too.  Irons 5-U, Ping G400.  Wedges negotiable (currently 54 degree Cleveland, 58 degree Titleist) Edel putter.

I'd think winning or doing well in whatever format you elect to pursue would be a good start.

A local golf course in my area recently hosted a stop on the Hooters mini tour. This is a pretty tough course (nothing outragious, but not a cow pasture either). The course was set up for the tour (long rough, fast bent grass greens) and the winner posted a 19 under for the 4 day tourney. That surprised me. Even on the mini tour circuit those guys are really good. Good luck...

You just mised the Canadian Tour Q School. There are two a year.

I hear mixed reviews of the Canadian Tour. Travel and lodging is inexpensive. Most players travel with each other, and local families put oup golfers in their homes. But, the prize money isn't that great, so its hard to forge out a living on that tour if you aren't up in the top 10, week in a week out.

At 22 you should try and play in as many events as you can, whether you cash or not. I wish I'd have known about these tours at your age.

      Interesting that Scottie is #10 on the all time money list and he's been on the PGAT for 4 years. Of course, purses are bigger now, but  neat to look at non-the-less.  The list of top 18 money winners in PGA Tour history has plenty of surprises This list is updated through the 2024 RBC Heritage. To add, Scottie won 4.5 million at the Players, Jack played 44 seasons and won a little of 5 million on course.

      Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat

      Not sure this is the best thread but, if the rain holds off, today is my 1st round of the year.  Getting ready I can not find my Shot Scope.  I guess I put it away too well for the winter and thus that is may "Winter Depression".  I'm sure I put it somewhere that made sense at the time.
