I need a bit of help here. I feel that my game has made so many strides this year as I posted my best score of 85 earlier this summer and played a respectable (at least in my mind) 93 on a championship course from the black tips measuring out over 7200 yards (Sheppard's Hollow in Michigan). This past weekend, I shoot a 51 on the front 9 and a 44 on the back 9 after not having picked up a club in 2 weeks. The inconsistency is beyond frustrating.

I know for certain this all has to do with my grip. I've had a strong grip that I know is the root to my problem, and no matter how much I get comfortable with a neutral grip swinging in the mirror at home, when I get out on the course, my hands magically go back to a strong grip. My emblem on my glove doesnt face the target line, as it faces more out with the corner of my hip. I need some help. I need to know how to fix this problem.

I'm ( ) this close to getting this entire game back together. I'm playing a tough course next Monday and will be on the range over the weekend to attempt to fix my issues. Any and all advice is greatly welcomed!!!

If you are comfortable with a strong grip then use it and adjust your swing from there. The stronger the grip the harder it is to get a nice flat left wrist at the top of the backswing. In fact, it is probably not necessary to get the left wrist completely flat at the top depending on how strong of a grip. I would experiment trying to get your left wrist flatter at the top though to see what happens. You might have a big cup in the left wrist which would cause you to pull or block the ball occasionally. I have always had a strong grip and when I started trying to get the left wrist flatter at the top it really improved my ball striking.
