I video taped my driver swing last night and see what kind of responses I get back from Swing Academy. Some background, my driver is by far my best club. I've really worked to take the club back on plane and stay on plane during the downswing. My misses are generally pushes and fade/slice. The push comes from coming under plane in the downswing and the fade/slice come from not quite squaring the head at impact. I was an over-the-top swinger for a long time so closing the face at impact has been a struggle.

The analysis from Richie3Jack was pretty dead on. I do struggle with consistency and flexibility is a big issue. He mentioned Roger Frederick's exercises as a possible solution.

So curious for your feedback and possibly any flexibility exercises you recommend.

Thanks

Kevin

Yeah, I think Richie did a good job for you. I think keeping your right knee flexed would straighten out quite a bit of problems. You have a really good posture at setup so keep it that way. Right now you are just letting the right side go. Back leg straightens, hip turns too far, spine angle changes. It is probably going to feel a bit restrictive to you because well it is. Have you been back out to the range yet?

Haven't been back out yet but I've started a stretching routine and have been doing every day so far. This will be my third day so it will take some time. Good time of the year to do it though since I probably only have 2-3 rounds left in the season.

I have been working on keeping the weight on the inside of my right foot and keeping that right knee flexed. You're right. It certainly feels restrictive. I feel like I'm coming over the top of everything.
