We all said this in another entry, but I'll summarize it here: shafts are THE most personalized part of any golf club. Do yourself a favor and get fitted. If you buy the shaft and installation, the fitting should be free.

$100 will give you plenty of choices for a new shaft, grip and installation

Since your fitter has seen your swing and has prolly gathered data on it, ask him what he recommends and then put it on the board so we have something to compare it to. Need to know what you're currently playing.

Once your fitter recommends a shaft for you, you might want to check eBay. They have a ton of golf equipment so its a good place to look for a cheap shaft.

what shaft are you looking for? "S" ? I've a fujikura Speeder I could send you for free - just cover the postage (I'm afraid it could be 30 - 40 to Singapore?). Still has a 510TP clubhead on it (with weight cartridge missing).
I've no use for it, anything for fellows sandtrappers

That's exactly the shaft I was looking for, but since you offered it to the xd3 first, i will give him some time to respond. If he doesn't respond, i would love to put that shaft on the 905R that I have purchased. I'm located in California so it shouldn't cost that much to ship.

thanks, but really - how much can I sell it for? I barely dumped off my Mitsubishi LT-70 TP shaft, which is much more rare than the fuji.

Only THE BEST for TheSandTrap (even if the moderator forgets your birthday ) hehe.. sorry Erik, couldn't help it

I Don't think my offer is reasonable for xd3 - I sold a club on eBay to Hong Kong and shipping was $48 - that's 1/2 way towards a shaft, that will really fit him. If no new posts from him by friday - send me a PM with address and I'll find out shipping cost and let you know.

UST Proforce 65 or 75 are pretty good shafts and you can buy them for $30. I got on the launch monitor with my driver and a bunch of different shafts and found that the proforce 65 I hit dead center around 290. And I tried the Aldila NV, Graffaloy Blue, and a bunch of other hot shafts but the UST was the one that worked with my swing. I have an extra one that I pulled out of a BB Hawkeye. I'm not sure what the tip diameter is off hand but you're welcome to have it if it will help your game.

UST ProForce (purple/yellow) is IMHO one of the best out there. I still have it on my 3W and 5W (since 2003!) You can always install a ferrule to convert from 335 to 350 and vice-versa - about $1.50 @ golfsmith.com
