I'm looking to buy new shafts for my irons. I'm currently using the S300, but they aren't stiff enough since I have an extremely high swing speed. Most of the time my shots just balloon in the air and go left or right.

My swing speed with a 6 iron is 125mph and with driver its 145mph. What shafts would I need?

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

Haha, one, you don't swing at 145 MPH.
Two, if your shots go left AND right, its your swing. It happens to everyone, sorry.

How can you have a 145 mph swing speed and be a 36 handicap, whre did you get your swingspeed tested because with a 145 swing speed you could be on the long drive tour. If your swing speed is really 145 i would suggest calling aldilla customer service to see if they have a shft stiff enough for your swing speed for your woods and you could call true temper to find a shft stiff enough for you irons and wedges. Because an extra stiff is going to be a little to wippy for you

I am competing in Remax long drive events and my swing speed was measured on a zelocity. It's controlled power though.

I'm a scratch golfer. I don't know why it says 36 in my profile. I think I'm just gonna call true temper or royalprecision to see if they can custom build a shaft for me.

How far do you usally drive it, and if you want to change you handicap indes on your profile just go to sttings in your user cp thing.

The flex in my shaft isn't stiff enough, so most of time my shots just balloon in the air.

If I kill it though it's about 380, but average is about 360 on flat ground no wind.

Do you have one of those sick 47.5 inch drivers with the 3x flex shafts those things are sweet, but any was if you compete on the long drive tour cant you just get some shafts from one of the events.

I got two drivers right now.

One is a 9 degree with a xx stiff flex that I play on the course with. It's regular length (45 inches), but the shaft is still nowhere near stiff enough though. Then I have a 6 degree 50 inch driver with xxxx stiff for long driving which I broke though.

I put in the Project X 7.0 shafts. The difference is like night and day. However they are still not stiff enough. What could I do to make them stiffer?

Did you trim them to length already? If you did you could tip them an extra .75-1 inch and add extensions to get back to your length. What iron heads are you using?

You could try tipping the shaft and/or hard stepping them, one or two times.

it's called rod-iron! just kidding, anyway can you post a video so we can see you tempo, ss is not the biggest factor in selecting stiffness, john daly plays with more flexible shafts the nick price. also its also hard to believe without seeing, if your ss is 145 then you should have shaft makers asking you to play their shafts. but if it is true then i dont care what shafts you have your shots will baloon because of crazy amount of spin.

145mph would be a new world record if you could do it consistantly

You might be measuring in Km/per Hour
