Well that stupid statistic is wrong, I'm pretty sure I average 280 with my driver. If I only hit my driver 218 I would quit golf. Don't tell us if we are lieing, I think we all know how far we hit our clubs.

Some pretty funny distances vs. handicaps here. For what it's worth, here are mine (average), give or take, for a full(ish) swing:

Driver: 275
4-wood: 235
2-iron: 220
3-iron: 205
4-iron: 195
5-iron: 185
6-iron: 170
7-iron: 160
8-iron: 150
9-iron: 140
PW: 130
GW: 115
SW: 100

All are 'carry distances', not final distances.

Driver: 220-230
3 Wood: 205-210
2 Hybrid: 195
4 Hybrid: 175
5 Hybrid: 165
6 Iron: 155
7 Iron: 145
8 Iron: 135
9 Iron: 120
PW: 105
GW: 95
SW (54): 80
LW (58): 60

There are a few yardage gaps that are really too big. I would like to get the lofts adjusted on my PW and GW, but have yet to do it. I very seldom ever hit a full SW or LW.

Theres a big gap between my 5 and 6 iron, and I don't know why.

I honestly have no real true idea how far I hit any of my clubs. I am more of a feel player. I hit 7 iron from 120 or 170 depends on the shot needed. I am getting on our trackman launch monitor next year to find out all my carry distances for full swings.

I'm a +4.0 and your gonna call me a fibber... 218 is for the average once a week player who doesn't play much... even though the USGA says a bogey golfer can only hit a 200 yard drive... and a "scratch" can drive 250 yards and reach a 470-yard hole with 2 strokes... Just because I can reach a 570-yard hole with 2 strokes doesn't mean I'm fibbing... and most of the guys in here are at least 12 handicaps or better

I am not calling you a fibber because bieng a +4 handicap you probably averag well over 280, but 12 handicaps 310+, that is almost impossible because to hit such long distances you have to have a good launch monitor stats (launch angel, low spin rate,ect.) an to get good launch moniter stats you must have a great swing.

I find it funny you hit your 60 95, but your PW 135. I hit my 60 around 80 and my PW is around 140-145. Different swings i guess.

I got a lot smoother swing with my 2 wedges and I usually avoid my PW that club just doesn't get along with me..
