What's the best feature(s) of your stand bag? For me, the strap system has to be comfortable and easy to put on. My new Titleist bag has great, comfortable straps. Makes walking the course easier.

I just purchased a new Nike stand bag. It is extremely light and is one of the few stand bags that comes with a rain hood. It has plenty of pockets and has an 8 way top for the clubs. Did I mention it's extremely light ?

I have tried a few different carry bags ,titelist callaway, and a no name (it was cheap what can I say). The callaway and the no name stands both broke. The titelist was a good bag but I found I had problems with my clubs tangeling up in the bag. I have since bought the new nike sasquatch carry bag, it has 14 individual slots for each club. It has been fantastic we'll see if the stand holds up.

The greatest carry bag of all time is by far the Ping Hoofer Vantage. If you have not had one you would never understand. It is completely designed to be the greatest carry bag ever. It is the best because of the many pockets and it is still light (5.5 lbs). The best strap design I know of. The water bottle pocket actually holds a water bottle. The best feature is the option of customization.

Whats in the bag?

I like the Hoofer Vantage, but I think it could be better. I like the pocket layout & design, the embroidered Pingman, the shoulder strap is the best I've used, I like the little open pocket (I keep card and pencils). My only complaint is the five way divider. I'd like to have the option to customize the divider - I'd like to also add a putter well - sectioned-off, but still in the bag.

+1 for the Ping Hoofer Vantage.

The stand is the best i've used - the hoofer system reallly is the best (all previous bags got less abuse and broke - the Ping is still going strong!)

I've used lighter and ones with more pockets - but this bag does everything I need it do to.

+++1 for the Hoofer. Call me biased because it is all I have ever owned. I have looked at and tried many but these just fit. And it is a Indiana U. team bag, my obsession.

I liked a lot of the features of the hoofer bag but have to agree with Jay-Bird that the divider system needs an update for me. I actually bought a hoofer and ended up returning it after putting my clubs in it because I found the woodee divider system on the ogio bag I have to be infinitely better.

My Ogio (See sig) works great on a cart, and I actually carried it for the first time Sunday. It's a bit heavier than others I've had, but everything is easy to get to, even while walking. Kept my powerade cold for 12 holes too! Plus the Wood-e top can't be beat.

I love all the pockets , tee holders and ball holder on my Ogio Grom. But it is too heavy.

I have had a Titleist stand bag for several years and will use it until it falls apart. The two big reasons for me are the bottle holder and the side pad. I never realized how much it helps while walking when the pad is there. I think most bags have it now but that was the first one I used with it. The water bottle holder is great. I will never have another bag that doesn't have one.

I don't care about the pockets, or the weight, or many other things. Just give me these two things and I will be happy.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

the hoofer doesn't have any seperators going down to the grips on the bag?? so shafts will tangle etc?

I think mine may be marginal in this capacity....don't really know...never carried and don't really care to. Ride or use push cart for me.

    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.
