Well, Kenny Perry is out: he's getting knee surgery .

That stinks for Kenny Perry, especially being the defending champ at Bay Hill.

Unfortunately for me, I won't get to watch any of the weekend action unless I TiVo it. Even then, I probably won't get to watch it until next week sometime. The wife and I are visiting her family this weekend. Not only is Bay Hill, but March Madness starts this weekend as well! Double bummer...

This is always one of my favorite tourneys, so I will try to sneak in as much as possible.

Kenny is one of my favorite players and this is a disappointment. I sure hope that he gets back on his feet in good time and is able to stay healthy.

I love Kenny simply because he is an enigma in the world of professional sports. A forty-something who can compete at the highest level in his sport? That is simply unheard of. Plus, he's a great driver of the ball. All that with some southern charm add up to a hell of a guy.

The leaderboard at Bay Hill looks pretty good. Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia, Retief Goosen, Tiger Woods, etc. are all right in the thick of things. There are a lot of other familiar names at the top as well, but I could think of those off the top of my head.

It looks like the weekend should be fun at Arnie's tourney.
