Yes, and the most common fault I see is an independent arm swing that gets ahead of the body movements in the downswing.

The scientific findings in this article are incorporated perfectly in the golf instruction that I have been using for about 5 months now, http://www.golfswingmasterkey.com/ .
This is the body (or shoulder) powered swing, controlled by the left shoulder. It is very simple instruction, and it was easy for me to make the change. However, if you are in the habit of getting your arm swing ahead of your body movements, it may take some time to get rid of that habit.

When done correctly, it feels like my left shoulder is doing all of the swinging, while my left arm and left hand control the extension, rotation, and some of the wrist action. The left shoulder control seems to always trigger the correct lower body movements.
