Was at the range tonight to do some practice in the November cold

My main focus was on hip turning instead of shifting since I have been thinking I've been swinging with my arms and shifting my hip out towards the target to lean down. This of course left me lacking in distance and accuracy.

Started off.. took a few warm up balls to get into it.

Next thing I knew, POW straight and high.

Probably hit 95% of the balls dead center and was actually accurate enough for a change that I could start working on dialing in distances on my wedges. Got my best drives ever in too, probably rolled out to about 260 where I was hitting 220 max before.

If I can keep this up, my only real constant issue is ball placement/stance distance thing which is just a practice practice practice practice thing.

Can't wait for warmer weather to hit the course now.

It certainly feels great when everything just seems to "click". But don't ever get complacent and allow bad fundamentals to trickle into your swing, take note of all the things you are doing right and maintain consistency.

i love it when its all just "zen" when you can just step up to the ball and not have to think about what you need to do swing wise that is the biggest accomplishment i made all year

I always seem to find thinking about it means I'll hook it or do something wrong.

Just step up, quick setup and casual swing and zoom, straight and long. Those damn swing thoughts always tense me up and screw with my flow.
