You head move forward during backswing. You should try to hit the ball, and see where it goes. Maybe you might want to make your tempo a little smoother. But that should be done after you feel more comfortable with this swing.

You take it back inside (and thus a little flat) and come over the top just a little on the downswing. If you're going to do that, reverse them: more upright and outside on the backswing, and flatter and more from the inside on the downswing.

But since it's a YouTube, I can't exactly stop the video at several points to take a closer look, so I say that based only on a quick look at real speed.

There is only one golf swing unless your arms are placed differently on your body than everyone else's. The fact some swings are shorter, steeper, etc do not change the basic core positions and moves of a sound swing. In a nutshell the club goes to parallel, butt to target at 9:00, toe up or slightly closed and then the shoulders turn, arm rise naturally, to full coil, (the club goes inside at the top, not at the bottom) the club comes down inside, while the body is still turned back to where the hands meet the rear hip, being the 3:00 position in the downswing where the lower body is square to the target, with a turn through, so that both arms extend out beyond the ball, with a turn through to the finish and the club continues around the back. The swing is a synchronization of the raising and lowering of the arms and the rotational turn of the body. These two separate motions create the correct swing plane for you body type.

I am the Lead Staff Instructor at Reynolds Plantation in Lake Oconee, Georgia. In looking at your set up I would recommend that you get more of a secondary spine tilt at address. Tilt away from target feeling like your left shoulder is much higher than the right. To feel what this should feel like, go to an up hill lie and put your body at the same angle of the hill. You want to swing up on the driver. Pick the ball off the tee. If you are breaking the tee your angle of approach is to steep. This is the first thing I think you should work on, have a solid address position so it gets the club to travel on the right path.

I think I understand, but I hit the ball super high as it is for whatever reason(my club is a ben hogan 8.5 mid kick, maybe need high kick), so would this make me lose distance because the ball will go even higher. I would try it, but I messed up my wrist snowboarding, and I'm trying to wait till after christmas to go back out and play

i have some experience with club fitting, if you are hitting a 8.5 with an aldila nv too high without having and outrageos ss which i dont see that you have. you are either miss-hitting the shot high on the club face or which is probally the case is that your upright setup is causing you to hit down on the ball causing excessive spin. leaning your spine angle away from the ball could actually help you hit it lower, less spin(less spin also means straighter) and further cause you will have a more boring ball flight.

Okay if it helps according to one of those little radars that you set on the ground my swing speed before I changed my swing to this which isn't a really big change is anywhere from 105-110. If I'm on a par 5 that I'm trying to reach in 2 I will open up a little more, and the ball goes farther, so I must be getting more swing speed. In this video I was just focusing on technique, not getting any power. I don't like to hit balls unless I'm comfortable with my swing. So with this swing speed should an 8.5 driver mid kick be going really high up or is my swing the problem. And if it is how do i keep my spine back to keep the ball lower

the easiest thing to do is go somewhere with a launch monitor and hop on that bad boy. i've seen people with 8-9* drivers hit them super high balooning ball flights because they are spinning too much. you swing speed is similar to mine, i'm about 108-112 and a little more if i need it, anyway with you driver and shaft with that speed you wanna see numbers in the 11-13 launch angle and 2400-2800 rpm. if you have those numbers great keep up the good work but i doubt you will if you hit the ball really high. i'd say if you are at about 2800-3200rpm than that can be corrected with a shaft any higher than you have a swing flaw that needs to be addressed.

You are falling into a reverse C position, which i have struggled with. If it gets worse BIG(by big i mean 50 yds)push hooks will be the result. Just fix the reverse C and maybe make the tempo a bit smoother.
