It would help if I could access the links.

sorry, I can't get the youtube links to work. You can access the videos here:

I am not getting enough wrist cock on the backswing and I am not sure why or how to fix it. My grip is fine. I grip it in the fingers, not the palms. I have been working at not taking the club to quickly inside and I also noticed the club is pointing too steeply down towards my feet at the top of my backswing and then my donswing plane seems "above" my backswing plane and I think it's better to be the other way around.

Hi

Irons : 2 plane posture and swing, but without any shoulder/body turn. Just arms swing. re "cocking" let the momentum of the club cock it (a little pause on top). Otherwise it's nice swing (not to shoort ..etc) Driver : backswing it's maybe more 1 plane backswing (don't mix it!!) swing plane. Try to make more your iron swing. In general : while your body turns, your arms going up/down. Focus on yours left side(arm/shoulder) Snap release - i can't see that elemental move. regards,

The wrist cock was the most obvious thing that I noticed too. Like mentioned above, that snap release at the end is important. work on trying to get your club to whip around and snap at contact, this will take a while, but keep swinging in that manner to get that feeling and your natural joint lines should show you the way. I'd say to start working on that whipping action at the bottom of the swing. It'll get you some wrist cock and hopefully tempo, balance, and weight shift will follow.

How do I get MORE wrist cock?

Like I said ... relaxed arms+light grip pressure ==> momentum of the club in backswing will do that 4U

If you will try to increase wrist cock you're in danger for overswing. If you made swing primary with your arms it's hard ... so use your body more and relax arms/hands.

Look at your second vid and pay attention to your left hip.and stop it at the 05 sec mark. Your left hip is actually moving backwards then forward. Look at the distance your left hip is from the edge of that computer monitor before you swing and watch how far your hips move to the left during the swing. Instead of turnning your hips you're rocking them. Try bending your knees a little more and have your weight slightly more towards your heels. It looks like you got slightly too much weight towards your toes in your set-up.

here's your laundry list of things to work on the range.

1st: Posture. Try to get your hands lower so that the shaft bisects the hips/ points at your beltbuckle. Get a touch more flex in your knee's. A very good posture for a guy as tall as you is Sergio Garcia's. Posture. Try to imitate him in that aspect.

2nd: Stance. Get your feet shoulder width appart.

3rd: Take-away. When the club is paralel with the ground (9 o'clock position) the club head is behind your hands. That is a very bad position to have... Leads to a very inconsistent golf swing. Try and take your take-away in one piece. A good drill for you is to put a shaft down the ground, between you and the ball, paralel to the target line. Then place a ball about 3-4 inches away from the shaft. Make your swing, but be careful, the clubhead can never cross the shaft.

4th: Keep the flex in your knees as you are turning away from the ball. Drill for you: Take your stance and posture. Then put a club across your shoulders, paralel to the ground. Try to turn your shoulders without moving your lower body. Doing this you will get a better shoulder turn and you should feel a little pressure in the inside of your leg. Toe in your back foot if you have to to feel this.

5th: Check your grip. There's a great video on youtube that teaches you how to grip the club correctly: http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=oYYYfFDTZrk

6th: Finish your swing. Try and hold your finish like if your waiting for someone to take a foto of it.

I'd say that the easier ones are the ones where the club isn't traveling. Work on those first.

You really have to forget about this. I don´t know who/how you got this into your mind... Work on your hip/shoulder turn, which is the one area I think your swing could improve the most. I see very, very little hip turn, and the little movement you have is a swaying move, not a turning move. Work on your hips. You will see ...

Please don´t swing while I´m talking !!
