just came from golf store i work at and went through fitting myself again, i do this every couple months just to stay on top and its free and i can do it my self. my swing speed with my 6 iron is 92-93 which is pretty fast so this spring i am going to switch to x100 beings i have a fast tempo and harsh transistion. Now here's the funny thing, my driver i could only get up to arround 105. it stayed between 102-105 which is slow compared to my 6 iron. what swing flaws could be causing this. if you need videos let me know and i will post them later.

thanks
matt

Well, do you go all out to nuke your 6 iron? Do you let up on your driver? I don't see it as a problem, if your hitting each well, you shouldn't worry about it.

I dont believe that there is a lot more than that for difference in the two clubs. For instance My 5 iron swing speed is between 90-95 and my Driver is 100-105.

I swing my irons at 60mph avg and my driver speed is 88mph , so 28 mph difference, huge gap for me...

no i use same swing motion and intensity for both. i just thought that it would be a bigger gap.

What are your distances? If they're fine I wouldn't worry about it. Could be machine error.

Not really a big deal.

My 6 iron swing speed is about the same as yours and my driver swing speed is about 109.

Depending on the weight of your driver and length of your driver there might not be all that much difference.
