Ping Anser putters

Well im putting new clubs in the bag now before the season starts, and wanted to know if anyone has the Ping G2 Anser. I am looking for a replacement to my older Odyssey, and the Ping has a great feel. Im sorta having trouble finding one since its an older model, i dont know if any of the local stores will carry one.

I did see that the new Karsten series anser is out for Ping and only like 90 bucks. I dont like the back on that one though, is like a plastic insert, or the insert on the face of the putter.

So, just wanted to know who all owns and would recommend their Ping Anser putter?

The G2 is good, but I have the Karsten. That plastic piece on the back covers the real material that makes the sound/feel real soft. They decided to put it on the back of the blade instead of the front to get what they have always had in non-insert putters, but made them softer-feeling. I hope I did not confuse you.

I love my old-school Ping Anser. Took me a few months to find one with a reasonable price, but it replaced my White Hot 2-ball putter, which I thought was a bit unwieldy.

I got a G5i Anser for sale in the "Marketplace" in great shape, check it out! It looks and performances very closely to the G2i model.

Driver:  R11S 10.5°, Fairway Woods:  909 F2 15.5°, Hybrid:  G10 21°

Irons:  Tour Preferred MC 4-P, Wedges:  Vokey SM 52.08, 56.10, 60.04

Putter:  Tei3 Newport II / Circa 62 #3, Ball:  Pro V1X / NXT Tour

I have 3 ping anser 2's in different styles and used the Karsten Series anser 2 up until a few months ago. You cant you wrong with an anser (especially the karsten for only 90 bucks)

I use a scotty now, but that is no knock of my karsten. I still love that putter.

      Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
