It would be great for golf if he could make a comeback. He has made some big changes and his swing looks as good as I have ever seen. I wonder if he has the heart or passion to win again.

Yeah it would be great. I saw a show on CBS about a month ago where Duval and his Dad played golf with two special olympic kids. It was a great show. The kid Duval played with was a soft spoken person and he made the comment that at least Duval would not out talk him. David even gave the kid he played with his M-Frames.

I'd love to see him do well, but when was the last time you saw someone come back from a prolonged slump that was as deep as his?

Never. But he's on my fantasy team this week, so go DD!

Wow, and I thought I'm the only dreamer who put him on the list ;)

He showed some signs on the end of the last season and I read an interview with him during the PGA Championship - he said, that he didn't realize before how much did he miss to be "in it". I think big problem last two years was the lack of "willingness to be in it" (is that english???). Even though looking like he was trying to play hard - he was absolutelly not focused on succeeding. I think that's over.

oh boy... Erik, we might have to revise our fantasy picks.
From "some other" messageboard:
" I walked 3 holes with him tuesday at the Buick and he was all over the map. Right and left. On #10 he hits 2 balls off the world right, I mean like 40 yards. Then on 11 he snipes a hook 100 yards left into the canyon and proceeds to say, "have not seen one of those in awhile."

and

"...after watching him hit it poorly in practice on Tuesday, and then reading in the local paper that he only played 5 holes in past two weeks, and then shot a 6 over (on the south course) in yesterday's practice..."
hm... maybe we should give him few more weeks to shake off the rust? ;)

He's cheap. He let me pick a higher-powered #3 player. If he contributes 3 birdies I'll be happy. The thing about players that hit it all over is that they usually score really well on the few holes per round where they find the fairway.

I guess you're not happy

The only problem with it is, that if he doesn't make the cut you're playing with 3 only (or 2) last two rounds... That hurts. I guess I can't make fun of you, since I picked even worse and I'm playing with 3 all 4 rounds !
