yesterday, i took the day off with a friend and his dad and we played literally all day, from about 9:15 am until 4:30 pm. we were playing scramble and got in 36 holes, and we walked the whole way. we only took two or three 5 minute breaks the whole day, and i didn't really start feeling it until about the last four holes, but man, once i got home and sat down, my legs let me know just how displeased they were with all that. probably walked 10 miles (give or take a mile) doing all that, and carrying my clubs the whole way. then i had to turn around and immediately play a show with a band i'm in, and my amp weighs about a bloody ton, and moving it to the car-to the venue-out of the venue-back into the car-back into the house is a real ordeal. i got up this morning and it feels like every muscle in my body was destroyed at some point yesterday. i couldn't play golf today even if i wanted to, my body would just flat out refuse to make the motions.

on the plus side, though, i was playing with my old persimmon driver yesterday and reeled off several 275-280 yard drives that split the fairway. i was proud of myself.

You should have stretched a lot and drank a lot (of water or OJ) after the round. Lactic acid I think it's called will build up after a day of work like that. It will make it almost impossible to do anything the next day because your muscles are so tight.

...i got up this morning and it feels like every muscle in my body was destroyed at some point yesterday.

They

were , that's what working your muscles is . Next time... 1. Drink a lot of water. Before, during and after the rounds. 2. After the long day it's very important to eat good proteins and carbs. Fish/Chicken/Turkey and rice/whole wheat bread is far better for your body's recovery than a burger and a beer. I played 18 yesterday in the morning, and from 4-5pm I did 100 pullups and 100 pushups. I'm playing atleast 18 today. You've got to eat right and stay very hydrated. Golf is not a game, it's a sport.

Last tuesday I was very lucky...Tee'd up at Rooster Run in Petaluma t 7:30, walked 18, got done at 11:15, we grabbed a sandwhich, drove 25 minutes to Sonoma, played Sonoma Golf Club (home of charles schwab cup senior pga) and tee'd off at 1:10. Walked 18 and played from the pro tips, it was majestic. Holes 31-36 I went Par, Bogey, Par, Par, Birdie, Bogey (lipped a 2 footer haha) One of the best days of my life so far. Best thing, Rooster was free ( we know the guys there and I haved comped them at my course) and Sonoma only cost me $20 because my playing partner works there. 18 holes of above average and 18 holes of pro venue golf for $20 plus a $8 sandwhich. Im in heaven here guys. Im not bragging, I am in awe

Whats in the bag?
