I'm just wondering if anyone else here plays golf and racquetball. I'm addicted to both sports but I read somewhere that racquetball is terrible for your golf swing and I think I felt the affects last year.

Something about using quick and slow muscles and it affecting your tempo?? I'm wondering if anyone else here that plays both thinks it does damage to your swing.

I'm totally willing to sacrifice r-ball for golf just for the summer if it will help my golf swing. Thoughts???

I used to play Squash a lot with my dad during the winter ( ok , it's not racketball , but it's almost the same ), and i've never had any problems swinging a club when spring arrived...I don't understand how playing one sport will affect another one. In fact , i see this as a positive , because your staying fit , which can only help. I don't think quitting Racketball will ''help'' your swing to be honest.

I play racquetball during the winter while waiting on golf season. I don't think it really causes any problems with my swing (however, softball is another story). I do not play after golf season rolls around, though. I can only handle one sport per season.

it won't affect. I play badminton, squash and racquetball during the off-season. If anything, it will help your hand-eye coordination.

I never had an issue with playing another sport like racquetball and having it influence my swing.

I too have played Racquetball most of my life, as well as softball until several years ago and I never had an issue with my swing.
