I've been looking and looking and looking at Scotty Cameron putters and I've been able to try a few models at Golf Galaxy.

I've narrowed it down to:
Studio Select Newport 2
Circa '62 No. 3
Studio Style Newport 2
Studio Stainless Newport 2

I'm leaning toward the Studio Select, but I'd appreciate input on the other putters, especially the Studio Style and Studio Stainless.

Thanks again guys!

The studio select is 10 grams heavier from the factory than any of the others you have on your list. The studio style will have an insert. (i feel the ball comes off hotter with the studio style, but thats just me). I personally am not a fan of the Studio style putters. A couple of my friends have the stainless and say it the only putter they will ever use. Ive putted with them and can see why they belive that. But they are difficult to find brand new. IMO, your real choice is between the stainless and the select (unless you like the aesthetics of the circa) You cant go wrong with either, but if you can get an '04 studio stainless in good condition for under $250 go for it.

The Studio Stainless doesn't have a milled face, correct?

I've found quite a few Stuido Stainless on craigslist and eBay. I wish I was able to putt with one somewhere. I wonder what the difference between the Select and Stainless could really be. They seem to have the same head shape, but you say the Select is 10g heavier?

Yeah. I use a 34 inch putter, so the stainless would be at 340 and the select at is 350. The select is actually the heaviest putter i have ever used. But if you havent used one particular putter for a long time ( i used a ping anser 2 forever) then the extra weight probably will be barley noticeable. The select seems to sit a little more toe down than the stainless, but I wouldnt imagine the two putters are

that much different from each other besides the slight weight difference.

Another question I have, stupid as it may sound, but if I buy a new Studio Select from Golf Galaxy, is the headcover included in the price?

LOL...yes it is...

But you dont want that obnoxious piece of crap anyway. Its the worst headcover ever invented and it just screams "STEAL ME" I use the booty headcover from my old anser on mine.

What's your favorite headcover?

I currently have:
Studio Style Newport 2
Button Back Newport 2
Tel3 Newport 2

I never really cared for the Studio Select NP2. well....I didn't like the style. I like the NP2 Midslant, but haven't decided which one I will try yet.

Studio Style...I like the feel. I don't think it's harsh or hot off the face. very nice.
Tel3...soft, and lighter. I think 330g or so. this was gamer for years. loved it but I thought I needed more consistency (read:heavier headweight for more consistent stroke)
BBNP2...soft, but not as soft as the Tel3. really nice headweight at 350g. I love the look and love the feel. this is now my gamer.

as far as headcovers are concerned, I use a generic AM&E; one. I never use a Scotty Cameron one. just have always used the same HC

I like SC headcovers but I agree they do scream 'steal me'

Id have to agree with the steal me statement LOL. As for my headcover i use simple odyssey.

Now to the OP i would reccomend the circa 62 but PERSONALLY i like the no.2 good luck!
