saw this site on google ads, what a terrible site: for all your skull and crossbone labeled clothing that looks like you came straight from "the hood" this is the place to shop.

BUT NO! why stop there? lets make black golf balls so when your ball plugs in the mud, you will have an even easier time finding it.

Plus for a limited time you can buy a black skateboarder hat which you can wear sideways to look "extra thug"

OH BOY! i cant wait till they design skateboards i can ride on the cart paths.

my favourite part is how the window says "tatoo golf-agressive golf clothing"

and their divot tool opens like a pocket knife, somehow i get the feeling the owners of this website would rather stab people and mug old ladies than play golf.

I think they are trying to bring a new group to the course, i think its corny, lol but i dont think anything is wrong with it at all,

"their divot tool opens like a pocket knife, somehow i get the feeling the owners of this website would rather stab people and mug old ladies than play golf."

i dont have tattoos or anything, but i have piercings and it seems like people sometimes look at ppl with tattoos and piercings and think they are bad ppl.

its almost as bad as looking at a minority and thinking you need to hide your belongings from them.

and the company that makes swiss army pocket knives makes a golf tool like a pocket knife, O NO they want to stab people and mug old ladies eeeek

Athough I don't like the fasions...the web site is set up really well and is certainly going after a demographic that has a harder edge to fasion.

You got to hand it to them that although this image isn't the traditional golfer, it certainly is targed to a group that we have all seen on the course, but maybe didn't have a clothing line dedicated to them.

I still remember the rumblings over the "Trucker" hat with the old school webbing. I must admit that I didn't like it at first...but now that I have one, they are great in the dead of summer with high heat and humidity.

The golfing community reminds me of a bag of marbles and lack of individually stifles creativity. People are way too afraid to break the traditional mold of what the majority deems to be prototypical golf attire. Why would it bother you if someone wants a "pocket-knife" style divot repair tool and a skull logo on their shirt? Hey, if it gets people interested in the game I'm all for it.

BTW…I'll leave the "hood" comment alone.

Without a doubt the most ridiculous, preconceived statement I have heard in these forums. Man, does somebody need to teach you a life lesson.

Just anothe .02 from me. The difference between people With Tattoos, and those with out Tattoos is......the people with tattoos could care less if you have tattoos or not. I have full sleeves, and several on my back. I also have a 4 year degree, and working on my masters, wear a shirt and tie everyday to work and go tho church on Sundays. I guess I'm from the Hood right? Man I must be a dangerous guy. I can't believe they let me coach my daughters U5 soccer team.

In my bag are
Hibore XLS 10.5*
Hibore XLS 22* 3i Hybrid
TA7 irons 3-PW, SW
CG11 60* LW VP #5 putter.

I for one will. I guess I'm not your "typical" golfer in that way. I think there is room for all types of people in this sport. You probably wouldn't want a Boo Weekley type at your course either, I suppose.

In My Bag:
SQ Dymo2 10.5
SQ Dymo2 15

Tom Watson Wedges 52, 56, 60 Unitized Retro 33"

i wasnt saying that people with tatoo's are terrible people, BOTH of my sisters have them i think they look good, all i was saying is golf is a preppy game, anyone who doesent realise that isnt the brightest. I was joking about the mugging old ladies... e-sarcasm. Basically these "agressive clothes" make me laugh at them. They think they are so hardcore because they have a headcover with a skull and crossbones on it. You dont have to look badass to look good..

Our pro shop sells a "switchblade" green repair tool, never saw anyone get mugged with it.

That said, I don't usually care for the type of person that goes for the black on black, skull and crossbones look. It's simply a dark, often aggressive personality type that I don't care for, on or off the course.

I don't get piercing and tattooing either though... never could understand why anyone would deliberately disfigure himself. I always sort of liked my body without any extra holes in it.

But to each his own...

    • I’ve recently started KBs too and really enjoy it. I have one day of armour building complex and one day of a mobility routine. Adding in a speed training day too.    which routines do you do @Elmer
    • Again, I’m not an expert so take it with a grain of salt My question is whether laying back even further becomes too conservative and that strategy is suboptimal as a result? Essentially what’s the cost of guaranteed longer second shot vs the x% risk for hitting the bunker? I think the optimal way to answer the question is looking at strokes gained, in consideration of the hazards and penalties, and picking the strategy that maximizes SG off the tee. I’ve seen some apps that do this but I’m not sure how accurate they are.   And again, asking all this so I can learn what I should be doing in these situations rather than questioning your approach Bill. I would give an example of the course I’m joining this year where I plan to aim at the bunker, but I don’t want to take over your swing thread any further!
    • What @DeadMan said. From the satellite it looks like there's tall grass to the right, long of the fairway post-dog-leg. But left it just looks like regular rough all the way to the neighboring tee boxes. If that's true I'm aiming left edge of the green and bombs away every time, hoping for a 30-70 yard up and down opportunity.
    • What's the case against blasting a driver at the green? I'm guessing it puts the penalty area/fescue too much into play, but if that's just standard rough around the green, there would be a good case for it. If it's not driver, then I agree with your approach. The one thing I would add is to shade your aim towards the bunkers vs. center of the fairway. Hitting out of a bunker is (marginally) better than a penalty drop.
    • Yes, if you are gonna layup, then layup. No need to nickle and dime a few extra yards and bring bunker back into play.
