I have Louisville, UConn, Pitt, and North Carolina, but I am worried since they are all #1 seeds. In the finals, I have Pitt vs. North Carolina since Louisvile, as a team, is not that accurate from the free throw line. I have Gonzaga making the Sweet Sixteen, and getting beat by North Carolina. Maybe the Zags can pull an upset! One team to watch is another Big East powerhouse---West Virginia. If they can get by Louisville, they may go all the way!

Mine looks like yours, except I have Memphis coming out of the West. I don't think UConn is strong enough with Dyson sitting out. North Carolina wins it all.

Louisville is over-rated and won't make the final four. I predict they will be the first #1 to lose. Now watch me eat crow...

Louisville, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Syracuse.

You know, Syracuse is a good pick, as long as Johnny Flynn is on his game, and Rautins gets freed up to hit 3's. Lousiville shut Rautins down in the second half.

The Cardinals major weakness is foul shooting,BUT their major strengths are depth and great defense. Syracuse found out what an aggressive press can do to throw you off your game, and wear you down. Syracuse made no 3's in the Championship game Saturday. They were worn out after a 6 OT win over UConn followed by another OT win over West Virginia. Rick Pitino and the Cardinals will smart to press, press, and keep the pressure on. Many teams cannot play well against a team that presses for the entire game.

I love college basketball, but have not been able to follow it closely the last two months. One key factor in the tournament is injuries to key players. A fellow that I was talking to started to rattle off some injuries, but I do not remember them all. I do know that Oklahoma's outstanding player, Blake Griffin was injured and they lost to Texas and another team as a result. I guess he is OK now. Does anyone know of injuries to key players that may hurt particular teams?

Lawson is going to be playing hurt for UNC. They should beat Gonzaga, but OU is going to trash them.

I've got Memphis over Kansas, and Pitt over OU, with Memphis winning it all. They got disrespected by not getting the 1 seed they deserved. The trick of basketball compared to football is that there is a large body of work you can watch with which the evaluate a team, so strength of schedule isn't the predictor of success you'd like to think it is in football.

I'm laughing when I see all these 1-seeds making the Elite 8 and Final 4 (quite hypocritically, I do have 4 1-seeds in the Elite 8, but only Pitt in the Final 4... it's not that I think they're going to make it, but that I'm not going to predict an upset and miss free points earlier in the bracket.) This class of 1-seeds is garbage and there are no stand-out dominant teams. Any of the 1-3 seeds has a perfectly good shot at the Final 4, and there are strong 4-seeds as well (Gonzaga and Wake.)

I threw my clubs into the lake so it's time to start over...

How do you have a Pitt-UNC final? The Championship game would have to include the winner of Final 4 Pitt-UNC.

UNC without Lawson is very susceptible.

If they end up facing LSU in the second round and don't have Lawson, they could very well get bounced.

Good catch. I was tired and was concentrating on the semi-finals: Pitt vs. NC. I have UConn vs. NC in the Finals.

Thanks for the post. As I said, I have not been able to watch much b-ball lately, so I did not know Lawson was hurt. I have not seen NC play at all this season. Mainly, I have watched only Big East games.

I don't like having three #1 seeds there, but it is what it is. I didn't pick as many upsets as I did in past years. I think it's because there are fewer teams from non-power conferences.

    • Here is a description of all the programs:  Programs & Training Programs and Training TheStack is a personal swing-speed trainer for golfers. Initially, each golfer is piloted through a series of swing speed tests to generate a force-velocity profile of their current swing. Qualitative data is... I think cruiser is meant for maintaining speed and flex can do more than that. But I'm just basing that on the descriptions that I linked.
    • Both @DaveP043 and I play in our interclub matches every year, and have been team Captains as well.  There are always a few courses, mine is one, that win a lot of matches (we've won twice in the last 7 years), and we've been labeled as sandbaggers.  However, I really think that our course was rated too low (our greens just never seemed to get factored in enough), and thus our Handicaps were always a stroke or maybe 2 above, what they would've been if the course was rated higher.  And then when we went and played other courses, their slope and rating were much higher than ours, and sometimes I would get a 2 or 3 stroke bump on top of that.  It was definitely an advantage.  However, this past year, our course was rated again and the slope has gone up, so we'll see if we continue to have the same benefit.  Season starts this Sunday for us.
