Isn't that amazing, the difference between the two. I have never hit their GI's. How is the workability and forgiveness of the MX-200?

MX-200s are very forgiving, but not as workable as any of the MP iron sets.

Until I can find another club that feels as good as my Mizuno's, they will be in the bag for quite a while. I recommend to anyone who hasn't hit a Mizuno forged iron, DO IT! You will not be disappointed.

I have played mizuno for about 7 years and cannot get enough of them. I absolutely love them and have never hit an iron that comes close. Mizuno is definately worth the money.

Ever since I hit a set of returns at the local store I have been obsessed with getting a set. I just went to a Demo Day, hit everything, and got fitted. Now just looking for the right place to buy from.

I am getting the MP 52, with the MP Fli Hi in 2 and 3...maybe 4 also. I already returned my Cleveland 47 & 60 for the MP-T 51 wedge. I absolutely love the communication I get from hitting the Mizuno irons and wedges. Ever since I got my Cobra Driver, I know immediately when I hit toe or heel. As a result, my driving consistancy has improved. I can not wait to learn about my irons in the same way!

The video, and the making of the video is/has been on the Mizuno Europe website for a while. I posted the link a week ago in the "fuss about Mizuno" thread . . . here

I was a PING lover for far too long. I'm now a full-blown Mizuno fanatic.

I think the best part about the video is they try to blur out the club brand, but do a poor job on purpose. You can obviously tell the one on the left is a Ping and the one on the right is a callaway due to its shape. But they got their point across. GO MIZUNO. HAHA

What is the best Mizuno iron for an improving mid-handicapper; hit some good shots, but not yet very consistent; handicap is a 14 and dropping slowly. Still want forgiveness, but want a set to grow into. Any suggestions and thanks.

Id say MP-52s would be right up your alley. They offer great feedback and are workable, but they also have features that make them somewhat forgiving.

They wont be as forgiving as MX-200s, but definetly more forgiving than MP-62s or MP-67s.

I wonder if they have a bell choir over there too. Does anyone really believe that sound has that great of an impact on feel? Maybe next week Callaway will reveal how their irons are more buoyant and, therefore, have better feel. It seems like hogwash to me (that better sound=better feel).

im with denver_nuggs on this one. i dont understand how a TING sound has anything to do with how they feel. granted, i know Mizuno's are great irons, but what does that particular noise really prove?

It amazes me what some company's will do to sell clubs. My titleist 695 cb's are ENDO forged, and feel just as good if not better than any mizuno i have ever hit.

Just go on Ebay. About 7 months ago my bag was all Titleist and Id say it cost me less than $500 to make the switch.

As long as you dont insist on having brand-new clubs and dont mind a few little dings and imperfections, you can buy clubs on Ebay for next to nothing. Granted, my irons are about 5 years old, but even older Mizuno irons are pretty sweet. I bought my driver for $100 (was a demo that youd swear had never been hit, new they go for about $300), bought my 3-wood for $40 (had an F-60 4-wood, but I personally hit the F-50 better; a new MX-700 3-wood costs about $200), bought my irons for $180, bought my wedges for $50 each and bought my Bettinardi putter for $80. I would have easily spent $1,500-$2,000 if I had bought all-new Mizuno clubs.

I'm no physics expert but I'd say it'd have to do with the fact that to produce a sound like the Mizunos do the metal has to vibrate more and sustain that for longer which means you feel those vibrations a lot better than with the other clubs which don't sustain at all and just give a dull sound. If you have a guitar or something at home try putting it up against your body and picking an open string and then fret the same string half way up the neck. You can feel the vibration of the rest of the guitar against your body much more strongly when you pick the open string which vibrates more and sustains for longer.

    • However, have you ever considered using small summer houses for such setups? They offer a great solution for creating dedicated practice areas, especially for an affluent audience looking to enhance their outdoor living space.
    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.
