Re: Okay to wear black golf shoes when wearing shorts???

I wear black athletic shoe-style golf shoes with black or white socks, long or short pants, and don't think twice. Usually white ankle socks when wearing shorts. If I'm wearing long pants I would probably tend toward black socks unless I'm wearing light-colored pants. However, I wouldn't sweat it unless it was with black (or near-black, though I don't have any) pants.

If I had dress-style shoes I might think about it, but I think those are silly with shorts, and uncomfortable for me regardless of their color.

How do you clean white leather?

On the other hand, I try not to wear black shoes with shorts, but if you do, just wear black socks... just make birdies and no one will care! But if you bogey every hole someone might call the fashion police.
I wish you could tell me my bags all white leather.

Well, first I would say your married so who cares what you look like on the course (unless you're a pro)... But then the 1st lesson I ever received was if your going to lose, look good doing it!

As long as your shoes and socks match your belt, why not?

my only golf shoes are all black dryjoys so i have no choice.  you just have to pair them up with some black ankle socks and you're ok.  any other socks and i'd say no.

I would agree with the last post about the black ankle socks. Ha ha. In golf fashion as long as you aren't rocking acid wash jeans on the course why not.

For clarification these are all black...not saddles.

I just picked up some of these....black FJ BOA's due to comfort. Also have a couple of the white/brown ones.

I'm curious, too, what the fashion police will say about them with shorts - I figure I'll put some black socks on - and maybe coordinate w/ darker shirts, but don't have any black shorts - maybe I ought to get some. Florida is hot when you're wear black, though.

Seriously? Nudist golf course?

Okay, I'm bored.

No fashion police here, but I wear black shoes, black 1/4 crew socks with black shorts all the time.  First time I wore them I felt self conscious but now I actually prefer the look over white shoes with black shorts.

I got a pair of black Nike shoes from my father as a Christmas gift, so it looks like now I'll need to buy some black ankle socks so the fashion police don't come after me.

Wait, will they only come after me if I'm on the course? What about the driving range? An indoor simulator? Ahhhhhhhhhhhh too many golf fashion rules! z6_surrender.gif

Of course it's ok to wear black golf shoes with shorts. What color golf shoes should I wear with black shorts?

i vote who cares cuz to each his own.  But if we start to see a popular trend of black shoes with white socks we all know it started right here, lol.....

All  I own are black shoes. I do wear black socks with them though. It pretty much matches anything.

Definitely wear black socks. As someone with pasty Irish skin, I look like a complete fool with black shoes on, but some people can pull it off with no problem.

I could start the trend (along with my loudmouth clothing) - problem is my black nikes are not as durable as my white footjoys
