Well yesterday I was on the range for about an hour and a half, working on my game, and hit around 250 balls. I have been switching between about 3 different swings because I've been working with my golf coach on swinging. When his style doesn't work on the range, I'll try my other swings that used to work and see what happens.

Yesterday was no different than any other sad attempt at hitting straight balls on the range. By the end of my session, I was starting to figure out why I kept pull-drawing the ball with any swing I used. So, I opened the face of the club, aimed straight at one of the islands (aqua range), and used a totally different swing than any of the 3 I use, for some odd reason. Dead straight at the island. *smack*. Wow....just some luck. So I grabbed another ball and did the same thing. *smack*. I felt like a scratch golfer!

As I was taking my friend that works there home, I took a shortcut on the golf course. (I live in the development that the golf course is on, and I drive our golf cart there and back. I'm 15 years old). I decided to play the par 3 11th real quick and see what happens. Took out 7 iron and hit it. Cleanest shot I've hit in a long time with my 7. It stared down the pin the whole time, hit about 1 foot next to it, and stopped about 4 feet away. I made the birdie putt. I was ecstatic! I've been in a little slump for a while and I finally got out of it!

Hold your horses. Played some golf today. Tried using the same swing on the range again before I went out. I couldn't remember it! Every shot was pull-drawing again. So, I had to use my trusty-ish fade swing. I used it for the first couple of holes going bogey, birdie, bogey, par. Then proceeded to suck all. Double bogey, bogey, par, bogey, bogey. Ended up shooting a 44/36 on the front nine. I was so mad! Besides all of this ranting and background info, my question is, is what can I do to remember my swing and keep it? Do I write it down? do I keep swinging it over and over until it gets lodged in my brain? Its amazing how I've kept a 6/7 handicap with inconsistent swings, but if I can remember that swing, I'd be a 2-4 handicap. PLEASE HELP

If I had 3 swings running through my head, they would escort me off the course in a straight jacket!

I say use one swing exclusively, loosen up on the range before the round and "dance with who you brought to the party".

I'm down to a 10 handicap. At this rate, I'll get to scratch at 90 years old!

Ha. Well, I've been trying to work on getting one swing, but that one swing usually has me pull-drawing the ball, and I hate it. My other go-to swing is a fade, but sometimes it doesn't fade but instead draws. my game is HOPELESS at the moment

thinking about one swing on the range is difficult enough, but three?

I know the range is a good place to be thinking and modifying things, but you are in the danger zone of paralysis by analysis.

I am currently in this zone (going through painful swing lessons that I should have taken twenty years ago) Currently with a very mechanical/forced swing adjusting to straightening my left arm and restricting shoulder and hip turn.

Once I address the ball (even on the practice range), I just try to think "good tempo, take dead aim"
