okay guys i got a major problem, when im about id say 50 or 60 yards out I'll chip it on with my sand or lob pending the height of the green. I'll hit the green but it will bounce hard right off it seems like my shot isnt soft enough I dont have this problem when im chipping right next to the green only from far out also i tried taking a kinda slower swing where i wont reach the green.

Hmmm...could be a few problems. Scooping, no lower body drive to start the downswing, coming out of the shot...

A quick fix might be to take a PW, 9, or 8-iron and do a long chip shot/bump and run. Can't do much w/o a video.

A "wristy" action can help ad spin to the ball. Play the ball back, weight foreward...dont choke down so much...that should get the ball to skid and check. Also, be aggresive, you have to have club head speed + good grip on the ball = spin.

What ball do you play? Cheaper rock balls don't spin or grab.

I play with pinnacle Gold balls. . .

Well, there ya go. That's a big part of your problem right there. You'd have to be a super good golfer to get those things to spin.

Correct. If youre flying greens with a short iron, youre probably swining too aggressively to get that shorter club to your target. Take a longer club and dont swing as hard. From 50-60 yards out, a 9 or 8 iron should be fine if you elect to chip.

60 yards out and I'm letting the angle of the shot stop my ball due to the arc. I generally try to flop it from this distance.

I know that's not the answer for all shots....all conditions. There are times when I use a lower....bump and run shot.

Chipping....by my definition, at least....isn't a shot taken from 60 yards off the green. Chipping to me is more of a greenside proposition.

forget spin. Spin takes too many factors including grooves, ball, stroke, lie, etc. Think more about trajectory. A higher shot will roll out less. Figure out the differences between a bump and run chip and a lob chip. Bump and run, you finish with your hands still infront of the clubhead, keeps the club still delofted. For a lob chip, after contact, finish with the clubhead coming up high, flipping up. BEWARE, do not flip the club with your hands, that will lead to skulls. My lob shots, I try to learn from Greg Norman. You want an extra followthrough and getting that clubhead up high comes from cutting at the elbows and sucking them in after impact. Play with those differences a bit.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

50-60 yrds out is a pretty hefty "chip" shot...
if you're pitching from that distance and hitting the green then rolling off...
1. that course might have some tiny/elevated turtleback greens
2. you're picking some pretty poor targets for your landing area
3. you've gotta be topping shots if you're swinging a lob wedge and it wont stick...

well for #1 its all about course management... tiny/elevated greens takes a different kinda strategy
#2... if your shots are over running the green... lets say you hit the middle of the green and it rolls off the back... maybe pick a spot on the front of the green so it rolls to the middle... or if its reallly rolling... pick a spot just outside of the green so it rolls onto the green
#3 it seems you arent utilizing the lob wedge the way its designed to be used... the trajectory on those puppies tends to be very high... keep the ball back in your stance... like right nipple to inside right foot and hit down on the ball... this does 2 things... encourages a higher ball flight and spins the ball more...

im not much of a ball spinner unless im in a trap but i can one hop and stop pretty well... my brother on the other hand can get range rocks to spin with my wedges so its definately technique... plus i have some pretty old wedges and the grooves (i thought) are pretty worn but he can do it... i need to regroove soon or work on my technique... hope this helps
