I got a little shock on my first check yesterday when I saw Paul Casey was beating all the loud mouth, stupid, Americans who aren't as worldly or well traveled as he.

But, by evening all was well as the sniveling, snot nosed ingrate who got his free education and tournament experience courtesy of America was sliding back toward the cut line where I hope he submerges and stays.

Bury me with a golf glove in my pocket - just in case!

Man, you really have to let those comments go. That was a year and a half ago. Paul Casey is a good golfer, and he has paid the price for his comments. I'm as American as they come, but I still enjoy watching him play. And Luke Donald is one of my favorites. The best thing to do is to be forgiving and show your American attitude.

As for the leaderboard, it looks like a fun weekend is in store for fans. Sergio is up there, as is Phil, Freddy, and DL3. And I'm sure more big names will be lurking after cut day.

I know I'll be tuning into the television set this weekend for many hours of Memorial fun.

I'm with Baynative... Casey should be banished to play on the South Korean Futures Tour for the remainder of his career. He may have paid the price for his comments, but I watched him at the US Open practice rounds last year in Pinehurst (was following Aaron Oberholser) and Casey epitomizes the idea that a tiger can't change his stripes.

Luke Donald is another story... nice, classy, good player... I love watching him play and actually root for him when it's not the Ryder Cup.

As for the Memorial, all I can say is, Go Sean O'Hair!

Luke Donald seemed to back off his comments in support of Casey and was beckoned by Jack to join him on the Swilkan Bridge in his final round at the British Open. If jack is making a good faith jesture towards him that's enough (I guess), to make me shut up about him.

Casey, on the other hand, has made no concilliatory comments that I'm aware of. Nor have I noticed him "paying any price" for his negativity during an event designed to promote good will. I know a couple of real jerks who have nice golf swings ...they're still real jerks.

Paul Casey lost sponsorships deals with the best company in the golf world. That's a pretty big price.

Also, he hasn't played worth a darn for the most part, so he got what was coming to him.

It's all water under the bridge now as far as I'm concerned. I don't mind the guy unless it's Ryder Cup time. Then I'm against him 110%.

Someone want to explain what Paul Casey did? Seems like it was pretty bad whatever he said/did?
