okay so I'm pretty new to golf, i started around march. at first it was just some to add to my Resume to look good for college going to my last year of High School. the more i played the more I enjoyed the game the whole style of how things are done on the course drew me in to the point where I spent my spare time putting in my room now. So I went and got my mom to spring for clubs she got my some generic start set from texan(see sig) but more I was playing on my own time not just the team I wanted better so i got the clubs i have now.
well sorry for the useless rant let me get to my problem

straight to the point is im new to the game and I always expect more out of my self and it makes me lose my whole mind set, i just got back from one of my hs matches i had a good drive a little slice put me behind 2 trees so from their i tried getting it out i hit the tree no biggie in short ruff next to the fairway then i took a fat shot then got it on next to the green then from their i fell apart i was no more then 10 yards off the green and then i put it over the green with no flight so i knew i messed up kinda beat my self up then got it on the green then 3 putted then the rest of my game was crap besides a par 3 where i bogey'ed which was a luck i feel lol.
so anyway i need some tips to get me back in the zone so i can get past the bad shots i hit

PS sorry for grammar errors. lol

i guess they don't teach punctuation in your high school...

its real simple. take some lessons. It sounds like you could use some guidance in all of your basic fundamentals.

shot 1. slice drive behind trees.
shot 2. hit a tree.
shot 3. fat iron.
then...fall apart?
shot 4. hit a flyer with wedge.
shot 5. get it on the green.
shot 6/7/8. putt putt putt

Good grammar makes the post more enjoyable to read. I won't even bother reading some of these posts as butchered as they are...

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? TIGER WOODS' AMATEUR VICTORIES YEAR WIN(S) 1984 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1985 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1988 Boy's 11-12 Junior World Golf Championships   1989 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships   1990 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships, Insurance Youth Golf Classic   1991 U.S. Junior Amateur, Boys 15–17 Junior World Golf Championships, Orange Bowl International Junior Look at some other AJGA Players of the Year. How many of these names do you recognize? A few, for sure. I assure y'all, I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios. I just don't get what the point is. Okay. I get that, then. Thanks.
    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
