My putting is not good. Read all the threads posted about putting in the past (games, where to put your hands, grip pressure)but have some questions
1) Where should you feel your weight. Back of your feet? Front foot closer to hole
2) Play ball in the middle or forward
3) Should you hit the ball on a horizontal stroke, downward, upwards?
4) Should the middle of the face of the putter hit the horizontal line at the middle of the ball or above the middle to give it a "roll" effect
5) Are there any training aides that can be purchased that have been helpful

Bought a new putter (out of frustration) although I know the problem is not the putter. Bought a Rife Antigua but because of rain for 3 days in Fl, I have not been able to try it on a real green

I stand with feet shoulder width apart, weight even on each. Ball is a bit forward in my stance. Grip pressure is very light. This helped me a ton. I got a Rife Antigua putter recently and it is by far the best I have ever used. Check them out if you are in the market for a putter. 40% of the Champions Tour players can't be wrong. They are not being paid to use the Rife putters. I have Phil Mickelson's "Secrets to the short game", a recently released two dvd set. Great section on putting from Phil. Also got Pure Point Golfs "Putting" dvd. Check out their website. They have about 11 dvds. They have one, "Precision Putting", that I will buy soon. Great instructional dvds. No real subsitute for practice. Spend 30 minutes on the practice green twice a week and see if that helps.

According to Phil Mickelson...

1) Weight should be evenly distributed 2) Ball should be forward in your stance (like looking down a rifle barrell) 3) Ideally you should be hitting the ball with 1 degree of loft... if the ball is too far back in your stance you'll be de-lofting the club and causing the ball to hop along towards the hole before it starts rolling... too far forward and you'll be adding loft and causing the ball to skid before rolling. 4) You want the ball to start rolling as close to impact as possible 5) Do yourself a favor and get a copy of Phil Mickellson's dvd... secrets of the short game.
