So I just got back from playing my local Par 3 course and noticed a couple of goofballs ahead of me messing around.

While one of them took a practice swing, the other guy, standing directly behind him, rolled a ball between his legs without him knowing. The golfer hit the ball squarely and it landed right next to the pin about 130 yards away.

Both of them fell down hysterically laughing as my friend and I watched. Pretty crazy.

I did something like that in college. We had to take two "lifetime sports" classes or something and, naturally, I took golf. Guy told me I didn't have to show up and he'd just give me an A, but we got to hit balls, so I went.

One time a girl I was flirty with (and vice versa), totally new to golf, was hitting shots. Missing most, barely hitting the others, etc. So I picked up a wiffle ball, threw it at the one on her little mat, and it hit it. The wiffle ball that was sitting there shot between her legs and the one I threw kind of took its place, which she hit a fraction of a second later - easily her best shot, straight, high, long, and nearly into the basketball hoop across the gym. She wanted me to reproduce the shot but I knew there was no way I could do that again (nor that she could do that again), so I begged off. But not until after we nearly fell down laughing.

On a course back home there was a par 3 with a huge rock behind the green. The rock had a flat face angled towards the green. The hole measured about 180 yards, slightly up hill. The challenge was, after hitting our normal shots, we would always drop an extra ball or 2 and try to one hop it off the rock and back down to the hole. One day we moved up to the front tee at about 110 yards and my buddy lofted a SW that hit the top of the rock, ricocheted a mile in the air, flew backwards towards the hole, hit the flag and slammed right into the cup. It was a one in a billion shot! Wish we had that on camera.

I had a buddy do a similar thing, but he threw the ball just as one of my other buddies was swinging. The thrown ball hit the tee and that split second the ball on the tee was suspended in air, he hits it, stripped it down the middle. I thought I would pee my pants after seeing that, thank goodness I had already tee off.......

About two weeks ago.
Pulled a shot from 150 yards. Hit a tree left of the green, from there a rock and bounced straight right , then the cart path and to about 6ft from the pin.
Only birdie of the day

The craziest shot I've seen was on the driving range. Two guys, a lefty and righty are facing eachother. The righty somehow shanks the ball badly straight into the board between the two stalls, the ball hits the top of the board, shoots straight up and is hit by the lefty's driver in the follow through of his swing. The ball careens into the lefty's head leaving a nasty gash and a trip by ambulance to the local hospital.

He went down like a ton of bricks.. His legs just gave out when that ball hit him.

1. I once hooked my tee shot high and into a palm tree. The ball stuck to the tree and never came down.

2. Last summer I took my nephew to a chip and putt. I hit the ball too hard sailing high over the green and into the light fixture causing it to land on the green about 2" from the cup.

Back when I was younger I would play in scrambles with my Dad and a friend of his (Frank) who was in his 60's at the time. Both were great to play with since they rarely missed a fairway. Frank would always find a broken tee to use for his driver. He had this little hitch in his swing right before he started. One time he hitched too much and the ball fell off the tee and was sitting directly in front of the tee. He just continued to swing and hit his normal 230 right down the middle. I told him he could have stopped and re-teed the ball. His reply was "I know, just too lazy to bend over and pick it up"

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.
