Anyone used it?

I'm looking for something like this to attempt to keep my putting stroke in shape throughout the golf season and through the winter when all I can do is putt indoors.

I really like the looks of this device. I actually used it at Martin's Golf Superstore in Myrtle Beach last year for about 20 minutes and interestingly enough I made everything I looked at the following day.

Anyone currently using it? What do you think?

The only issue I have with an aid like this is that the putting stroke isn't a straight path, but rather an arch. I've tried several path trainers and find them all the be ineffective for me. That doesn't mean it wont work for you though. I prefer something that gives me more feedback.

I like my trusty old Carbite Golf Putter ball. It's basically a metal ball on the end of a shaft. If you don't hit it absolutely dead square, the ball goes careening way off to one side or the other. It's instant feedback and will certainly improve your putting.

The other one I've tried is Dave Pelz's Putting Tutor. That works very well also.

The IDL Putting Track doesn't technically teach a straight path putting stroke... I guess half? lol. It allows you to take the putter back to the inside and then release the putting head down the line rather than pulling the putter head back inside the line on the through stroke. I wish a range or course had one around here that I could take out and practice more with before dropping 60-100 on one though. Can't find any on eBay either.

I've looked at this before too. I like the idea but I'm wondering if I couldn't just replicate the same idea with two tee's stuck in the green and practiced putting through them? Seems the same.

I don't have one, but I watched pros using it all over the practice green at the President's Cup last year, sinking putt after putt. Makes me wanna try it. Of course, the infomercials on Golf Channel are probably eating into my subconscious too. :p

Seems like the 'release the putting head down the line' is the key difference being taught. interesting.
