Hey everyone I have finally graduted college, started a career and treated myself to new irons and a putter. I picked up a brand new set of Adams A3's 3,4,5 hybrid & 6-PW for $299 at Golf Galaxy, what a deal. I know everyone will cry foul and say that the OS would have been a better choice, I just didnt feel comfortable with the hybrid iron heavy set, the regular A3's had a more traditional feeling 6-8 iron, which I liked. For my putter I gave up my $15 Sports Authority special for a great new 2009 Odyssey XG Teron. This putter is lights out from from short distances and the control beyond that is excellent. I almost bought a Titleist Scotty Cameron X but opted against it because it didnt feel like it putted as true as the Odyssey. Plus the sightlines on the Teron are amazing, so easy to line up.

Now comes my new issue, I've been playing with my 10.5 degree Ping G10 Draw model for about a year now and I helped correct my slice early on but as I started to get used to it and swing better I realized it was getting straighter and straighter but now its becoming a full blown hook. Has the Draw model finally started working against me? I've been trying a bunch of different neutral models @ Golf Galaxy and I'm hitting them straight or with slight fade. Is it time? The trade in is only $110. I was thinking Callaway Diablo so I can snag that $1 3 wood. Any advice? Thanks.

I'd say check out a neutral driver now. The Diablo is awesome feeling. I know at my local golf galaxy there are a few Diablo's on the preowned rack that look like they were purchased, tried a round, and returned. $160 I think. To me the Cleveland HiBore Xls has a similar feeling, and they are on sale for $150 for the XLS models.

I got a new driver yesterday. I picked up a brand new 2009 Taylor Made R7 Limited, 10.5 deg. with a Matrix Ozik 55g R shaft. I tried a few others but the feel of this was incredible. The shaft was awesome and the quality just felt so much better than the Diablo. Plus they just lowered the price from $399 to $199 so it was a no brainer. I only got $90 for the Ping because it was a G10 Draw not regular. I'm going to play a round tomorrow at Douglaston by me in New York so we'll see how it does on their wide fairways. I'm so excited!

Cool driver.

As you play more, you'll hopefully develop improvements in the swing that will reduce the frequency of slices and hooks.

Hope the new stick works well for you.

I'll be at Douglaston tomorrow for twilight, couldn't play today due to the BBQ's. I tried a friend's R7 limited and Ping G10 neutral and personally liked the G10 more due to the sound/feel factor.

I've recently gone thru a driver change as well. Tried out most of the usual suspects, and surprisingly settled on Ping's G-10 (neutral). I your case, I think you likely need to go to a neutral club, but pay close attention to the shaft. Honestly, I feel you can hit a golf ball with a bucket if you've got the right stick.

The handiest thing to do is start out at a golf shop that has the lauch analysis software / screen and you can instantly see which one's work better - and it costs you nothing.
