Has anyone had any experience with the Adams A3 Hybrid?

Do you guys like it? Pros/Cons?

If not, is there a similar hybrid within that price range (~110$) that you have used and liked?

Anything helps!
Thanks!

I haven't hit any of the Adams A3 but for $110 price range, you have a lot of options. I personally like the Adams Idea Pro Gold.

I have the entire iron set of the A3 series. 6-PW are irons; 3, 4 and 5 are hybrids. It took awhile to hit them right, but now that I have sort of figured it out I really like them. Off the deck I can hit the 5h about 200, the 4h about 210 and the 3h around 220.

I still have problems topping the damn ball with these from time to time. I think it happens when I have the ball back in my stance too far. But, when you get the ball in the sweet spot they really take off. Even the regular irons hit farther than I am used to. Maybe they have a different loft. But the other night I hit the 6i 210 off the tee (verified by GPS). I still have no idea how it went that far.

I'd definitely recommend them. You can buy the entire iron set for $300 these days, so paying $110 or whatever is a bit much. You can get them on ebay for about 70 bucks each.

I ordered the entire set a year or so ago. I got the 3h & 4h and 5-pw. I could not hit the hybrids consistently at all, I don't know if the prolaunch red shafts work in the hybrids. For what it's worth, I play the Prolaunch red in my driver and 3w and love them dearly. I think you need a higher launching shaft in the hybrids, however. Just my experience.

I picked up an A3 from Dick's last week for around $60. After hitting it on the range three times and play testing it on Tuesday I'm not sure how I ever lived without it. It's got a fantastic shaft and it's so easy to hit it's stupid. It's also 15 yards longer than my 3i ever dreamed of being.

I have the A3 3i and 4i, and for me they are much easier to hit consistently than regular 3 & 4 irons. You should definitely be able to find them for under $100 new - mine were $90 at Dick's a few months ago.

That's great! Thanks guys.

Other than the A3, are there any other hybrids in that price range that you'd suggest?

Thank alot!

I really like my callaway x hybrids. After playing a few rounds with them, I like them much better than my Nike sq2 hybrid. They should be in your price range

I just got the A3 iron set with a 3,4,5 Hybrid and 6-PW. I had played a Callaway X hybrid before which was an absolute nightmare to hit compared to the Adams. The square shape makes it extremely easy to get up in the air. I got the entire iron set for $299 on sale. So considering that most of these hybrids go for $80-110 retail that was a heck of a deal. They are a little tough to hit out of deep deep rough though. I would pick up a used one (they are dirt cheap at golf galaxy) and try them out.

How did you hit the A3OS? Was it easy to hit?

It was extremely easy to hit. I get the ball up in the air with height of a seven iron and the distance of a 3 iron. I highly recommend this club.

I played a round the other day and hybrids were hitting missles dead straight. The 3H was going 200+ with a 3/4 swing. They're a little hard to hit out of tall grass or thick rough they don't cut through that well.

Try out the Adams Idea Pro (Gold), I should be getting mine tomorrow in the mail. Other options are Ping G10, TM Burner Rescue, and Nickent 3DX. Also, I haven't hit these but heard great stuff about

: Bobby Jones, Wilson Fybrid, and Cobra Bafflers. The Nickent and Wilson hybrids are very affordable so check those out.
