I went 75-85-66 in three consecutive rounds this spring - granted the 75 and 85 were on a difficult course (74.1/132) and the 66 was on a short course.

I think I have went from a 77-85. That's not much but the ball striking was night and day!

I cant recall spefic scores, but i do remember a 2 or 3 round stretch last summer where i couldnt get the ball more than 2 feet off of the ground with any club. I cant completley remember my good scores either. If i putt good, i score. I can remember stretch about 2 years where i was on fire with the flatstick and probably scored really well in those rounds. I know for sure i shot a 69 in one of them.

I don't really remember any of my absolute worst rounds and shots, but earlier this summer I shot an 86. My 9 hole scores were 39 and 47. I like to blame it on the hot dog I ate a the turn.

Yesterday I went out and shot really consistent and finished with an 82 (41/41).

105 to 90. On different courses, but they were essentially the same rating/slope (69.3/123 & 69.5/123). It just happened this week. Ballstriking wasn't much different, but putting and penalty stokes were VASTLY different.

Ben Hogan is my swing coach.

Just this past week, same course, played Friday and Sunday.

Shot a 95 on Friday and an 80 on Sunday. The 80 should have been even better...blew up on the last 3 holes with a +5.

Two years ago I played in my club's Saturday morning choose-up and shot 85. Then four of us had lunch at the clubhouse and went out again to play 2-man hi-lo. I shot 74 without breaking a sweat. The difference was short game. Couldn't get up-and-down to save my life in the morning, could do no wrong in the afternoon.

Last week I went out and shot 96, and then two days later had my best round ever an 84! Then just to put the icing on the cake, I went out the day after the 84, and shot 81! It could have been under 80 but I 3 jacked 16 AND 17, and bogeyed 18 as well. It was cool too because the day I shot 81 me and 3 friends played for money, and Im basically a 20 handicap, so I stroked every hole, and double popped the hardest two. My playing partners were two 12's and a 3 handicap. When the day was done, the 3 shot a 77, the 12's each shot 79, and I shot 81! Felt sooo good to go tit for tat with those guys finally.

I usually only play 9 holes. My best to worst is 47-61 back to back. Played really good for me one week and then lost my cool the following week when I started badly. Golf really is mostly in the head I think!
