I play with a lot of sick golfaholic gamblers, but it's a lot of fun. We play this game called the full dot package where prett much almost every part of the hole your playing has potential "$$" to be mad or lost.
We usually play $10.00 nassua (front, back and total) and $2.00 a dot and then the back nine everything thing gets doubled if the teams agree. It's 2 man teams. Let me know what you think? Below are the dots and explanantion.
Hogan: Fairway Hit, green in regulation, par of better - 2 dots
Signature: Closest to the hole, par or better - 1 dot
Greenie: Closest to the hole on par threes - 1 dot
Birdie: 2 dots, if two are made by the same team on the same hole, total 6 dots
Eagle: 4 dots, if two are made by the same team on the same hole, 12 dots
Eagle birdie combination on the same hole: 2 dots for the bird, 4 dots for the eagle, 3 dots extra for a total of 9 dots.
Hole in one: 100 dots (NEEDS TO BE AGREED TO BY BOTH TEAMS BEFORE TEEING OFF OF 2- VERY IMPORTANT)
Grand Greenie: all 4 greenies - 4 dots
Gorilla: Closest to on par fives - 1 dot
Grand Gorilla: all 4 gorillas - 4 dots
Grand Shabaz: all greenies and gorrillas, additional 8 dots
Grand Hogan: All 7 hogans on one side, 7 additional dots. If all 14 are achieved, 7 dots for the back plus an additional 14 dots
Stein: Called up and down - 1 dot - odds can be given or requested.
Auto Stein: If you use a putter off the green like on the fringe instead of using a different club
Three putt: 1 dot for the other team, reverses hogan if applicable (except on par 5's hit in two), reverses signature (except on par 5's hit in two), reverses greenie, reverses gorilla (unless green is hit in two)
Sandy: Up and down for par or better - 2 dots, not up and down for par or better - 1 dot
Seve: par or better from a hazard or out of bounds - 1 dot
Hackey: Triple bogey or more, 1 dot for the other team.
Hack Trick: Three hackeys by the same team in the same round, 1 additional dot for the 3rd hackey, 2 additional dots for the 4th hack, 4 additional dots for the 5th hack, 8 dots, 16 dots....
Cart path on 5: 2 dots if par or better, cannot be reversed by three putts
Appearance: 1 dot, team that wins the prior hole needs to achieve par or better on the next hole. If so they earn a dot, if not it is a reverse appearance and the other team earns the dot. You can lose a hole and earn the appearance (say the other team birdies or pars with a stroke). You can win a hole and lose an appearance (say you win a hole with a bogey). The appearance cannot be won with a net par.
Optional Dots: Birdie Bonus: Sometimes we play an additional 5 dots for birdies on 8 and 16 (or other holes). Can be dangerous, because the original 2 dots for birdies are still alive, and 2 birdies pays three on these bonuses.
