ok so this might be a noob question but for the average player what kind of difference in distance would one see with a 3 wood to say...a 2I (hybrid).

its about a 2* difference well in my case it would be....
i've just been having problems hitting my 3 wood accuratley and i hit some 2I hybrids today and i must say they are fun to hit.

on the other hand i think i should just man up and hit my 3 wood better and add a 5 wood before i go with a hybrid, mostly because i feel like an old man using hybrids. (im 22) hehe. but i cant dis these hybrid clubs because they are very nice.

thoughts....? suggestions...? what would/have you guys/gals done?

Driver: Callaway FT-5 9*
3 Wood: Callaway ERC fusion
5 Wood: Callaway ERC titanium
Irons: Mizuno MP-57 3-PW
wedge: Callaway X Forged 58*/mizuno MPR 54*Putter: scotty. newport #2Balls: Range balls ;)

If you play better with hybrids, get the hybrids. I personally learned to just use 5 and 3 woods but when I was learning to golf I knew nothing of hybrids so i didn't really have a choice. I'm 20 yrs old

yeah, only 22 year old wimps hit hybrids. My 22 yo son wanted to hit mine; I yanked it out his hand and said "WTF is wrong you, you want people to get the wrong idea?". I gave him my 2i and told him to muscle it outta there.

haha exactly what my dad would do! yeah i'll prob just work on my 3 wood and pick up a 5 wood.
